Buyers beware: Heatwave Pools used MI Wells Concrete Construction as a subcontractor for pool decks in 2022 summer season. Mike Wells is the owner and operator of this company. He did 5 swimming pool decks for us in a short time period. By the time we realized his quality of work, all the decks were already poured and four of them had major issues. His final product was shoddy, substandard and botched. He exemplified unscrupulous behavior while working as a subcontractor and only cared if there was money left on the table. He does not and will not stand behind his work. He walked away from jobs leaving them to look like a lumpy, sloping, concrete mess. It’s impossible to contact Mike Wells after he “completes” the job and has his money. He will not return phone calls, emails, or text messages. His poor, and unethical workmanship has cost our company over $50,000 in repairs because we unfortunately subcontracted to him leaving us to hold the bag. Do not contract this company for concrete, he is only in the business for money and does not care about the jobs he takes on. He will gladly take money from people and do a subpar job.
