Pierson Automotive, Inc.
2424 N. Verity Parkway
MIDDLETOWN, OHIO 45042
On September 29th, 2021, myself Joshua K***** who resides in Middletown, OH pulled into I-75 Pierson Automotive, Inc looking to sell my cars. I met this kind gentlemen who politely introduced me to John Johnson. I talked to John for 3-5 mins then we went to my home to check the condition, take pictures, check milage, and verify the vehicle's Vin #.
Once me and John spoke about how much I wanted, Pierson Automotive (John, his sister who owns the dealership and the kind and polite staff) discussed what they wanted to do. John sat me down and told me what they planned to do. John pulled out a form the business (Pierson Automotive, Inc.) wanted me to agree upon and sign. John and I worked out three (3) agreements for the following vehicles.
1) 2006 Chevrolet Corvette
2) 2014 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
3) 2016 GT Ford Mustang
The Discussion Myself and John had was how much is bottom line you want then we will split 50/50
The discussion and closing agreements I agreed to was.
1) The Corvette will be listed at 28,495 and I'm guaranteed 26,000. Further Discussion I did have repairs done to the Corvette which I am 100% Satisfied with and excited to drive it again.
2) The Mercedes will be listed at 17,975 and I'm guaranteed 15,000 hoping to make 16,000-16,250 after the 50/50 split
The two agreements no-further matter I removed my vehicles from the lot paid my repair.
Now discussion where the issue comes in
3) The agreement Myself and John made was the Mustang will be listed at 28,995 and I'm guaranteed 26,000 then split the remaining 50/50.
After John and I came to an agreement, awhile later 11/26/2021 after staying in communication bi-weekly with John and the Pierson Automotive, Inc., John mentioned my check was ready. After a short meeting I had drove up to Pierson Automotive, Inc., to collect my check. I was handed a form and a check for 2,200. The paper stated they paid off my loan of around 21,250. I quickly brought up this must be a mistake... Pierson Automotive Inc., was quick to try to resolve the issue but trying to give me a slightly increase to 3,307.88. Pierson Automotive, Inc., John became slightly aggravated in the conversion about how much I was owed, even though I had provided documentation from Pierson Automotive Inc. I quickly realized I wasn't getting the money I was promised so we changed the conversion and without any escalation John and an employee helped me return my other two cars to my home. A couple mins after returning John to the dealership John calls and mentioned I owed for the repairs on the corvette. Which I agree, but they also owe me 26,000 at least. So, I was a little upset and argued with John and said let me see how much I got from them selling the mustang hoping they would say don't worry about the corvette fee which I haven't seen the receipt for but they mentioned around 1,200.
To wrap it up after the payoff to Service Credit Union of 21,250ish to pay off the Auto Loan + 3,307.88 =24500ish. Shortly After John hangs up, he calls again this time it's the Owner Brenda I believe her name is. She kindly gave two options
1) How do you want to solve the payment?
2) Or Cancel the Check and we take it out that
I choose option 2. I said please cancel the check and I'm going to seek a lawyer. Hopefully Pierson Automotive Inc., is held accountable to their customers. Its sad an owner of a business talks to their community and customers like they did.
It sucks that money had to start this whole situation. Honestly, I'm more disappointed about being lied to then receiving the full amount. I hope to pursue this in a legal matter and hopefully BBB can help resolve the incident as well.
To resolve this issue, I would like 27,000 like I was promised.
