On Febuary 6,2022 I brought 3 sculptures into The Clay Date to be firerd. When I dropped my sculptures off with the Manager Lynnie I discussed if they fired out side artist work and would my work be safe having them fire it since they work with a lot of childrens work . I also discussed with her that I am a working artist **.and drove my 3 sculptures back with me from CO. because they were already sold to a client so it was very important that they were capable of being able to properly firer them at the specific cone/temooperature that I asked them to be fired at. Lynnie assured me that they do firerings for outside artisits all the time and that my sculptures where safe with them. The day that I was supposed to pick them up I was told by Lynnie that she meant to call me to tell me that she was sorry but they accidentilly firered my sculptures at the wrong/higher temperature. I asked for her to text me photos and I could see that the glaze was bubbled and clay looked like glass and was chipped. I reminded her that my sculptures were sold for $150.00 each equalling $450.00 .Lynnie said she was a new manager and said the owner offered me a bag of clay and a refiering for me to resculpt my work which was not a fair compensation . I then discussed with the owner a $450.00 a trade in fireings which I thought was more than fair since at that time I was not asking for cash. The owner said that she was taking this seriously but didnt have time to respond to my text and that she was working out a contract for me for the future and of course would be taken care of my reimbusment. This was through text on Febuary 22nd. She said she would get back to me later that day and I have to date still not heard back from her. I feel this is very unprofessional. I have never in my life written a bad review for any buisness but this was something that has hurt me financially and they didn't even care to follow through and the only thing i was rembursed for was the firering.
