We purchased the house brand new 4 years ago and they gave us a 2 year warranty on the house. We had a 2 page list and every time they fixed a problem, they made it worse. The floors were looked at by the company that installed them and they were supposed to order the replacements and somehow both Sunwood and the floor company let it slip under and never resolved. The floor wound up being discontinued and it is obvious because the reason is because the floors don't last. The resolution that they gave us is to sand down all the floors, which means that not only would it take away the original bevel out of the floor, we would obviously have to move our entire house of furniture out or have dust all over it and with how bad the smell would be from the finish we would need to find a place to stay for a minimum of 3 days. We asked them to just change the kitchen. But, their answer kept being that they wanted to sand down the floors. We were never told that they were not real hard wood floors and once told us they were not real, they said they could not be sanded down and then all of a sudden when the floor was discontinued they said that they could sand them down. I advised that that was unacceptable, especially because we found the floors for them on ****** and the flooring company refused to buy them there. They said, don't worry we will find them and when I said and when you can't? They said we don't have to think like that, because we will. Here we are 4 years later having floors that are not right and because we keep our house clean we had gotten an answer saying the first thing I noticed when I walked in your house is how immaculate your house was. We have spent every single night on our hands and knees cleaning these floors because we don't have the money to fix them. We paid for an upgrade for the floors that we were told were great floors.
