Creative Construction of NE (Home Improvement Contractor License #567779) started repairs in my home in May 2020. They were paid a total of $23,400 for new roof, gutters and electrical upgrade. Company was hired through a City of Hartford Program (HPLF) for Hartford residents and was to provide warranty on work done. Creative Construction of NE did unsatisfactory work, they were notified of the issues with the work done within the warranty period; however, failed to honor that warranty and did not follow industry standards for installation of gutters. In the process of installing roof and gutters Creative Construction left a gap of several inches where animals are entering the attic and exposed the roof for potential ice dams that can cause further damage to the home. I have lived in my home for 16 yrs and never had any issues with animals in the attic until this company did work in my home. I now have birds, squirrels and who knows what else entering and destroying my home and belongings. My home owners insurance company hired a 3rd party company and I obtained 4 additional quotes from other companies who all stated that Creative construction should not have installed roof/gutters in the manner that they did leaving a gap for animals to get in. This company fully removed roof and gutters to install the new ones; therefore, they were fully aware and had knowledge of any potential issues but chose to ignore and leave the homeowner with major issues. I now have extra expenses for pest control removal and have to have a company remove the gutters and make the proper repairs and reinstall. No acceptable resolution was offered by Creative Construction of NE. Creative Construction only offered a quote for an additional $6,000+ to repair the issues that they created.
