      I ordered my car last August (2023-beginning of the month). The car had a 8/21 delivery date. It kept getting pushed back. IT NEVER CAME. I found another Odyssey at another dealer. When I called to get my deposit back (They have to return it-its the law) the lady gave me attitude and said "fine". SHE NEVER RETURNED MY MONEY. So now, I am filing with my credit card company because a year plus later, I do not have my $500 back. I have called nearly 10 times and left voicemails for the "manager". He is incapable of doing his job. I am livid. BEWARE. DO NOT PURCHASE A CAR HERE. THEY ARE SCAMMERS. RUN DON'T WALK TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP. I am so glad I gave the money to another dealership. These people are criminals.

      Go to Curtis Ryan Honda or any other Honda Dealer instead, Note i sent to Honda's NA President below explains why. In short, they do not respect you as a customer. ----------------------------- Dear Mr. M******** and Ms. B****: I am writing to inform you of two recent experiences I have had with CT Honda Dealerships. First, and sharp contrast to the second, we bought a certified used Honda Civic in May 2021 from Curtis Ryan Honda, Shelton CT. Great communication, transparent negotiation and fantastic customer service and dealer follow-up. This is what I have come to expect from Honda throughout the years. Unfortunately, the Civic was totaled in an accident and Curtis Ryan did not have the inventory in the June, which leads us to the second experience. We negotiated a similar deal with Honda of Westport, CT; however, the experience could not have been more polar opposite. During the car pickup, (cash payment), the sales person wasn’t ready and more importantly the Finance Manager, while nice, wasn’t ready. We spent an unnecessary hour and half at the dealership for a process that should have taken thirty minutes at best. Not a big deal but an indicator that customer service/satisfaction is not a cultural principle. More egregious, and the reason for this email, when we drove the $17k+ Certified used 3 year old (just off lease) car home we noticed that the air conditioning wasn’t working. We called our sales person the next day, received a call back the following day and then needed to call and get our car into the service center ourselves. No apology for the inconvenience and no ownership/accountability for the issue. Annoyed, I called the sales person noted this was unacceptable (service is 23 miles away) and he politely noted I would need to take it up with the Used Car Manager Abe. I called Abe left a message asking him to call me back and no response. I decided to wait until the car was serviced the following week to follow-up. We needed to drop the car off because there was no priority appointment and when the service manager called, also polite, he noted the AC condenser needed to be replaced and they would have the car fixed by end of day. I asked him if this was typical for a certified, just off the lot, car. He honestly noted no, but condensers in Civics have been a problem to the extent there was a recall. I then stated, if that was the case, then the AC warrants checking prior to certifying the car and letting someone take it, doesn’t it. Again, politely and honestly, he said probably. Now we have spent approximately an hour making the appointment, hour and 15 minute round trip dropping the car off and about the same picking it up . So, 3.5 hours of our time chasing a problem that never should have occurred, no apology, no accountability (other than appropriate repair) and no concession. I called Abe, used car manager, again and I still have not received a return phone call. Why? I can only conclude that Westport Honda doesn’t care. They have some polite people but on the whole they lack a customer orientation that Curtis Ryan and other Honda dealers have. I wanted to bring this to your attention because my time matters, my wife’s time matters and the folks of Westport Honda should not be viewed as good a customer oriented dealership. If I wanted to get this type of treatment I could have gone many other places. Westport Honda is bad for Honda’s brand and reputation. Best Regards, Fred xxxxxx p.s.
