    I have had very awful experiences at the service department here. Each time I take my car in for service, I receive a call about a different issue that I should pay them to fix. These issues are usually unrelated to the maintenance I brought the car in for, and some of them have been obscenely overpriced. Because I don't have thousands to throw around, I always get large repairs double checked by another mechanic. Particularly the ol' cam cases repair that they seem to be a little famous for (I've seen at least three other customers complain about this quote, all female customers - must be a coincidence). According to Quality Subaru, they are the only mechanics trained to recognize and quote this repair, since every other mechanic I've been to said it is unnecessary and extremely overpriced. One mechanic even showed me the area that was supposedly "leaking" and it was bone dry. I never got the repair and a year later, my car is still running great. No leaks, no "big ball of smoke" coming out of my engine that was promised to me by Jonathan, if I didn't get the issue fixed. Even worse than attempting to scare customers into expensive repairs, when I returned to Subaru to ask why they quoted me this ridiculous price for an unnecessary repair, Jonathan in the service department full belly laughed at me. I've heard of other people of my gender and stature complain of the same treatment. If this repair is so necessary and expensive, don't you think a more appropriate reaction would be to show me exactly what I'm paying for? There are a lot of mechanics who can fix a Subaru and do it with integrity. This shop just can't. Even other Subaru shops are better. In Berlin, they were no-nonsense, didn't act condescendingly and just repaired what was wrong with my car. Please, especially if you fit a particular demographic, do not bother with Quality Subaru and their awful customer service.
