Brought in a car with intermittent no start . 3 days into diagnosis the car almost caught fire via the primary wire over heating due to loose negative terminal. It wasn't loose Sunday. Monday when dropped off or Tuesday testing. Wire replaced Friday. Monday Tuesday new diagnosis the starter and alternator may have been exposed extreme heat and that causes issue starting? OK car has 60k miles and wasn't issue when brought in or before your tech forgot retighten battery terminals. 2100 and two weeks later. Car is fixed pickup when ready. Thanks. First test drive 30mins to parts store get washer fluid. No start. While at store by chance a mechanic was at counter and offered his help. 5minutes in parking lot he called it. Starter relay was issue and only issue. 39bucks and 5 minutes work. 2weeks in shop not fixed and a bill to fix what they broke. Erik himself may be a mechanic and diagnosis guru but the techs working our car was confused why have to tighten battery terminals. Management aware diagnosis by the first week was not complete ignored and same tech continued until pickup. So while not aware perhaps kid messed up he was aware car was not nor ever diagnosed therefore not fixed so what and why are there random parts going on it ? Asked to come tact me to resolve this I have not heard back despite a number of calls . Negligence at best . Plain unprofessional blunder or simply how the shop pays employees which I find hard see due to the caliber of shop. However the work does not match the premises . Past two months parking lot is empty so either slow or others experience same and don't return.
