            I hired Ashbusters for a cleaning and inspection of my smokestack Dec 2020. Their inspection suggested that I purchase another chimney cap. I choose to wait until I could budget to replace the chimney cap. During one of our rain storms I discovered that it was raining inside of my house, both inside and outside of the chimney stack. I don't know how many times the rain came in, but this was a significant downpour inside and outside, the smokestack including a wet ceiling around the smokestack. I discovered that the chimney cap had been removed from the smokestack and tossed onto the roof. This left my smokestack completely open to the elements. The contractor that repaired my woodstove, smokestack and replaced the chimney cap told me that the old chimney cap was unscrewed and removed. It did not "fall off" due to rust as Ashbusters stated. This clearly was a scam!!

            Very disappointed. Recently had work done by Ashbusters, two men inspected the chimney which was leaking into the screen porch. The spent less than an hour inspecting and gave an estimate of almost $1900. The following day they simply painted a substance on the crown and shoulders and sprayed the chimney with a material from a garden sprayer. The job was completed in about an hour, much of which seemed to be spent by one the phone. Two untrained high school students could have done the job in about the same time at a fraction of the cost. I have no confidence in the workmanship or materials used. Responses to complaints appeared to be form letters.
