We hired Majestic remodeling for 2 additions on our house. A 2 month job turned into a 14 month unfinished renovation. We have been understanding and allowing extending times because of COVID. We found out from the building dept. that he walked away from our job. One day he blocked our phone number and took his stuff from our garage(While his workers were putting in some grout). We are left with a house that doesn’t have drainage, siding and boarded up holes where windows are supposed to go. Unfinished flooring, molding, electrical. He left large hazardous trash piles (wood, metal, rusty nails) in our yard for months. His permit expired, he still worked on our house without a permit for 5 months. The money left in the job covers less then half the work and material that needs to be done. The windows ordered in 11-2021 never came. In 5-2022 we called the window company and found out the windows were never ordered. He got upset after confronting him that he ordered some windows “the less expensive ones”the next day at a big home improvement store. He ordered all the wrong sizes and the rest of the windows were never ordered. We had an inspection done by the building dep. and they found even more building violations: missing ridge vent, baffles…Communication was very poor so we had to connect a lot to figure out what was happening, when and where. He came when it was convenient for him and hardly gave us heads up. Most weeks were under 10 hours of work spend on our house. Our big renovation was a side job from the beginning. We did things ourselves because he didn’t show up or refused to work with certain material we preferred. We grouted our own shower, dining room floor and painted our own laundry room. He put in our tile floor in our dining room horribly. We are stuck with some 1-inch grout lines. He wanted us to pay for a new floor on top of our old floor. We always paid promptly and extra when asked because of change orders. This has not been a good experience.
