            I had a clog in a pipe from my slop sink to my boiler room. I had Reliable Basement & Drain referred by another company that said they were more equipped with a camera snake to look in the pipes to see if or what was obstructing the way. Thursday February 1st, 2024 - First, they couldn’t come at original time scheduled, then didn’t have a snake with camera, then said they unclogged the pipe but because it was still going down slow & making like a gurgling sound, I needed the kitchen sink vented. He said I would get an email the next day of a quote & I never did. By Saturday the 3rd of February my sinks were all backed up again. For obvious reasons, I did not trust them to come back & hired another company. Within 15 minutes, it was unclogged & he verified that my kitchen sink was indeed vented & would be fine. My sinks go down exactly like they always did & no gurgling at all. They offered to come into my house & put a vent under my kitchen sink, which is already vented, and return $75 or just return $25. I am not comfortable at all with having them back in my house at all & now I just wish to get my money back for a service that was never done, nor was an estimate for a supposed vent ever sent.             In 9/2022 a new kitchen faucet was installed and old drainage pipes were changed under the double sink at a cost of $890.00. 4/2023 I called them to tighten the faucet which had come loose, and seal around the faucet plate on the top of the sink. In 9/2024 the left sink basket strainer assembly disconnected from the pipe. The reason given: it was not replaced in the 9/2022 job- and was shorter (2 inches)than the newer one on the right sink (4 inches). the pipe connecting the two drainage assemblies was not level, and over time caused it to disconnect. I was told I could just tighten the connection and continue to check it over time. A new sink basket assembly was installed at cost of $220.28. The old one was rusted and weakened - it should have been replaced during the original job in 2022.

In September 2022, we performed a job that included installing a new kitchen faucet and replacing the drainage pipes under your double sink. At that time, the left sink basket strainer assembly was not replaced as it was not identified as requiring replacement. However, we acknowledge your concern that the old strainer, which was shorter and rusted, may have contributed to the more recent issue. In April 2023, we promptly addressed your request to tighten the faucet and seal around the faucet plate. In September 2024, when the left sink basket assembly disconnected, our technician found that the misalignment between the two drainage assemblies caused the problem over time. We appreciate your patience and understand that tightening the connection wasn't a long-term solution, which is why we replaced the basket assembly during the follow-up visit. We regret that this issue wasn't resolved during the initial job in 2022, but we're glad to have addressed it now. The cost of $220.28 covers the new basket assembly, and we trust this will provide a more secure and lasting solution for your sink. If you have any further concerns or require additional assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We stand by our work and are committed to ensuring your satisfaction.
