As you can clearly see by the multitude of comments, this is a terrible company to do business with. They are very big into bait and switch scam tactics. I have purchased from them before and thanks to my own stupidity I went back again. This is now the 3rd time in a row they have pulled the bait and switch tactic on me and it will be the last. I was in the store and was interested in buying some outdoor furniture. The sign said all outdoor furniture was on sale for 50% of the tagged price. There were dozens and dozens of items on the floor in this category. There was one outdoor couch in the front of the store as well. The sign said no further discounts applied. As they were also running an additional 10% off sale if you brought in a piece of clothing I assumed you would only get one discount. I asked the person at the desk if the 10% also applied to the 50% discount and his answer was yes.I went home and measured to verify it would fir since they do not take returns. The following day I drove the hour back to buy the items with my trailer in tow. When I asked to purchase it I asked again if the 10% discount would go on top of the 50% discount. The employee said the item wasn't on the 50% sale. I asked how it couldn't be as it was clearly outdoor furniture. His answer was it was "new" and everything else was used. This is an OUTLET store, why would I need to ask about every item to verify it was new or used. I said there is nothing that states it doesn't apply. He showed me a little note that said further discounts didn't apply. This was why i had asked the guy the day before. Further more it was not even on sale. On the Frontgate website it had the same item on sale for $300 less! Talk about poor customer service! Not only do they lie (as they did the past 3 times) about items being on sale, they actually charge more then their own website! For a premium brand they have 1 star customer service. Although the dresser we purchased from Frontgate is pretty, I would not recommend purchasing that dresser or any other furniture from Frontgate due to significant issues with delivery and quality issues regarding the furniture. Frontgate contracted with ** **** to deliver the dresser. Dealing with ** **** was beyond frustrating due to successive no-shows and difficulty with rescheduling the delivery on a timely basis. It took four delivery attempts to finally get the dresser delivered. I contacted Frontgate repeatedly due to the problems with delivery and problems with rescheduling. Frontgate representatives expressed ‘sympathy’ for the delivery problems but did not appear to actually ‘do anything’ to achieve a timely resolution. We spent way too much time dealing with ** ****. Online reviews of Frontgate reveal similar complaints and excessive negative reviews of ** **** made us question why Frontgate would even contract with them. We have had many large items delivered to our home over the years and never experienced anything like this. After the dresser we purchased was finally delivered, and after the delivery men drove away, we noticed that all the drawers were noticeably uneven. Each drawer on one side was pushed against the dresser frame, while the other side had a relatively large gap. The drawers did not self-close, and each drawer rubbed lightly against the frame when pushed. We analyzed, repositioned the drawers, and finally leveled the drawers with thin strips of cardboard. I determined that the dresser looked satisfactory with the cardboard under each drawer. Based on our exasperating experience with delivery, I decided not to bother contacting Frontgate to request a different dresser. I just submitted a two-star review on Frontgate’s website. I regret that I gave them two stars, one star was more than enough for a flawed, overpriced dresser that cost above $3k.Review from Daniel L

I paid $9,000 for what I thought would be high quality outdoor teak furniture, the ******* "teak" sofa, chairs, and table with "waterproof" cushions. Within eight weeks in an arid climate, the furniture and cushions both developed mold that would not come out of either. I had a woodworker at my house for another purpose and he told me that these pieces were not made of teak at all but a different wood (possibly poplar or iroko from Africa). Beyond that, there are cuts in the legs of the sofa where a completely other kind of wood has been glued in. On the plus side, Frontgate eventually—after a fair amount of back-and-forth—refunded me the money and picked up the furniture at their expense but this whole thing was a great disappointment and hassle. No apology, no acknowledgement that they are are selling a different product than advertised. Their product "specialists" don't know anything useful about the product and could not tell me whether they have any actual teak products or not, insisting only that all their teak is "Grade A" (it clearly is not Grade A, and is not authentic teak).Review from Sue K

I ordered from this company before and they charged me the wrong tax rate, and there was no refund on what they overcharged me. Now I have another item I would like to buy from them and they sent something out saying it was “free shipping“ but when I went to close out, it had shipping costs. So I called Customer Service and she said oh that’s not shipping. That’s truck delivery so it’s not free. What a scam! In March, 2023, I ordered a Beauvier French Cane Bed to the tune of $3899.00....WHAT A COMPLETE DISAPPOINTMENT IN AN OVERSTATEMENT OF QUALITY CONSTRUCTION AND THEN DEALING WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICES FOR CREDIT. AT FIRST, THEY DID GIVE CREDIT AFTER I HAD LITERALLY PAID A FURNITURE ***** ALMOST $800 FOR A FURNITURE ***** TO REWORK HOW TO PUT THE BED TOGETHER BECAUSE OF THE MISPLACEMENT OF THE CONNECTING HOLES FOR THE MATTRESS AND SPRINGS TO BE LEVEL. SEVERAL CUTS AND SCRATCHES WERE LITERALLY LOCATED ALL OVER THE WOOD AND THERE WEREN'T EVEN ENOUGH SCREWS AND CONNECTORS FOR THE BED LEFT AND WE HAD TO GO BUY ANOTHER SET OF THEM. I CAN TELL YOU THAT THIS WAS THE BIGGEST PIECE OF JUNK THAT I HAVE EVER BOUGHT EVEN HALF THE PRICE OF THIS BED. AFTER I RECEIVED CREDIT ON MY ******** *******, THEY SENT ANOTHER BED AND CHARGED TO MY ACCOUNT! I TOLD THEM THAT I HAD SPENT MONEY AND REPAIRED THE OTHER BED AND DIDN'T WANT TO HAVE TO DO THAT AGAIN! THEY SENT IT ANY WAY!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THAT ANYONE SHOP WITH THIS ORGANIZATION BECAUSE OF THE POORLY HANDLED MERCHANDISE AND THE CHEAPEST QUALITY YOU WILL EVER SEE! THEIR HANDLING OF THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN REDICULOUS AND IT'S OBVIOUS THAT THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT REPEAT BUSINESS. THEY ACTUALLY DO NOT DESERVE A 1-STAR BUT I HAD TO LEAVE SOMETHING JUST IN ORDER TO GET THIS ON THE REVIEW SECTION. Re ******* Armoire $4, 557.21 - A- ordered Jan 11, 2023 - after del. delays of 2 months the Armoire arrived with both front doors damaged- off the hinges. FRONTGATE issued B- a replacement order with an add’l delay of March 1, which arrived with the front doors WARPED and the inside draw jammed shut into the unit. The Product Specialist suggested to send a service to repair the damages, but he wasn’t able to replace the track nor adjust the doors. I was told ANOTHER C- armoire would be on back order until August, and until then the tracks would be sent to me to repair the draw, until the third unit arrived. I accepted that term so that I could at least put my dishes and stemware away temporarily. However, without any follow up of the REP. “specialist “ Jeanette G******, said the repair parts are denied. NO REPAIRS would be offered, unless I kept this unit. They were ONLY willing to repair the tracks and NOT the two doors!. I have to keep the warped doors, busted draw and needed to wait until the new piece arrived; which now reflects a delivery DELAY TO SEPT. 15-22. (It’s now 9 months out from when I ordered.) . No customer satisfaction nor offers to maintain my home/ dining room items from being kept in boxes. ALSO, Ms. G******, has not returned my email inquiries. FRONTGATE has failed to fulfill its obligation of offering an agreeable resolution. This Isadora Armoire is an EXPENSIVE item and it has been PAID IN FULL. Basically, my FUNDS $ taken without having them adjusted until their third attempt in September is NOT A LEGITIMATE TRANSACTION.Review from Mark S

Terrible experience. I won't waste my time or yours with all the details, but only to say that after screwing up the original delivery the table component finally arrived three months late. They did refund the shipping but then the table arrived in a box that looked like it had been delivered on the backs of camels...beat up, completely broken open, styrofoam falling out, and all the hardware missing. And the table is junk that I could have bought for a quarter of the price at ***** or **** *****. I wish I had never gotten involved with this company.Review from Leah L

Returns to Frontgate are nothing but a hassel and total run around. I will never ever order from this company again and will tell everyone I come in contact with how horrible Frontgate is towards there customers. I Ordered (3) Counter stools that were defective and literally dangerous. Frontgate accepted the return on July 9th, 2022 and explained they would set up return pick up thru *** Delivery service and told me to expect return pick up with *** directly BUT that they couldnt reach *** directly due to *** delivery website sheduling being down and I would hear from *** delivery within 1-3 days. 3-5 days go by and no call or email from *** to set up delivery day. Contacted Frontgate the 2nd time & had to explain issue all over againof , heard same response of 'how sorry they were for inconvience and that Frontgate was initiating the pickup asap and to expect call from *** delivery in 1-3 days. Finally *** Delivery called to set up pick up BUT it would be thru a local *** HUB closer to where I live. They followed up with text saying 'rep will be in touch with you in 3-5 days to set up pickup'. NOTHING. Contacted *** Delivery to schedule pickup- this time I spoke with rep and they pushed delivery to local HUB in Chicago, Illinois area. NOTHING-no call-NOTHING. Contacted local HUB in Chicago, Illinois and they 'refuse to pick stools up' so they give me South Bend, Indiana #. I then speak with South Bend, Indiana HUB# and they 'refuse to pick up stools' and give me Cincinatti, Ohio HUB #. I Contact Cincinatti, Ohio HUB and they 'refuse to pick up stools' and ask that I give them my phone # so that they will call me back after finding out WHY none of the other 3 HUBS will pick up stools. I then contact Frontgate today, July 27th, to have the stools picked up and to explain that I will no longer be organiazing or facilitating the pick up of the stools (3). Frontgate response? 'We are so sorry and will have the returns department get in contact with you'!!Frontgate Catalog Response

100' Retractable Hose Reel Item # ******. I've had my current reel for less than two years and have brought it inside during the winter. They have major flaws that cause internal leaking, which Frontgate has informed me is not repairable. I sent them pictures of the exact part that is leaking, and asked for a replacement part. They would not provide a replacement piece, and havent offered to replace the reel itself. Essentially, theyve told me Im on my own. If you buy this, expect to get just a couple years out of it before it needs to be replaced.Frontgate Catalog Response
