      I closed on a HELOC through ***********. I was in and out of final approval in 10 days! No costs, quick on-line appraisal. Fantastic customer experience and was able to get money before my contractors came in. My LO was personable and efficient. I closed at the local branch and I was out of there in 15 minutes. I would highly recommend 5/3 to anyone looking into a HELOC, competitive rates and a nice lock in feature!

      I've had my mortgage with 5th Third since 2001. Have never missed a payment. Got a call from an Asian "customer service" *** with a very heavy accent, asking why I had paid the mortgage a day late. I asked to speak with a mortgage banker. She then asked "which branch?" I asked which branch she was in. Told me in broken english, she wasn't in a branch, but outsourced customer service.Still need to speak with a mortgage banker, but don't know how to get through to one. I'm also certain nobody will respond to this post. Ridiculous.

      Literally have been banking with this bank since 2016! The worst bank ever!! MOBILE DEPOSIT NEVER WORKS! THEY LOCK MY CARD FOR THE STUPIDEST OF REASONS AND I NEVER GET MY QUESTIONS ANSWERED WHEN I CALL. IM SO DONE WITH THEM! NEVER BANK HERE!

      Terrible customer service from this bank, but everyone you talk to knows how to spout the company lines about how they appreciate your business and they are a fifth/third better and try a fifth/third harder. I was sent a notice that a credit card was going to be cancelled due to inactivity. Since I do not use this card really, I misplaced it in my home and was unable to locate the physical card, so I went to the bank. Obviously I cannot use the card for a transaction if I do not have it. When I went to the bank and spoke to a manager, I was given instructions that the bank was sending me a new card and that the credit card account would not be closed or canceled. I specifically asked the question several times as to the card being canceled before I received a new one and had a chance to use it. I received the new card via *** **, activated it as instructed, and when I went to use the card it was declined. Made multiple calls to customer service, first told me card is active and fine and it should work and I should try using it again somewhere else. I did that only to have card declined. Another call to customer service which now told me card was cancelled due to inactivity, transferred to credit card services. Told I have to apply for new credit card. Called back asked for a supervisor who basically told me: "Sorry they gave you erroneous information, really its a timing issue, nothing we can do about it. Apply for a new credit card." NOT A CHANCE THAT IS HAPPENING...another option...I can switch my multiple personal and business accounts to a new bank that actually has people who can help you and are more than a fifth/third better.

      I just got off the phone with customer service and supposedly the supervisor of customer service why is it that when I call I get an Asian person I don't trust I am sorry but I don't trust customer service to have Asian people because of the hacks that have been occurring but this lady while I was trying to change my phone number she asked me "secret questions" is what you call it what type of car am I driving then she asked me where does my daughter live and I have multiple choices and that's where I stopped because how the **** do they know that my daughter's name is? she is not on any of my paperwork. none. I don't understand where they get this information about my daughter is not on any of my paperwork this is very suspicious to me it is very dangerous for people to ask about my daughter how do they know that. All I want to do is to change my phone number and I have these personal questions they have no business knowing about I was furious. As soon as my business is done with fifth third Bank I'm closing my account I was happy with their service but now I can't even change my phone number with customer service because I have to go to a branch in person which I think it's ridiculous and inconvenience I live two and a half hours away from the city from any fifth third Bank and they're not able to help me with the change of phone number this is ridiculous.

      They are horrible to have for a bank on my mortgage. They need to endorse a check and promised it is 7-10 business days but it has been 7 weeks. They do not care about customer service, and I cannot get ahold of anyone that knows anything about my account. They are all customer service reps, and they refuse to transfer me to a supervisor. All I can say is stay far away from this bank because they do not care about customers and are refusing to give back the money that is ours.

      Had my car loan with 53rd Bank. Paid off $11K that was stated owed for the remainder of the loan. Got a letter a month later stating I still owed $100. Was told that their interest was deducted from my principal payment. Was laughed at by the supervisor. Told that I had to make a payment of $101 because the interest that they charge isn't listed as part of my total payment on the loan. Was asked if this amount was shown in any capacity and was told I have to remember it or write it down. This bank should be shutdown.

      Applied for a HELOC. Never had a conversation with an actual person. I have been given 3 points of contact but no one ever reaches out. This process should only take a few weeks not 3 months. Ridiculous. Run don't walk from this bank. Terrible customer service, terrible communication and no transparency.

      Harassing. That is the only way to describe this bank. My mortgage got sold to them and now I have to deal with constant phone calls if I am even a day past the due date on my mortgage. Mind you they give you a 16 day grace period. Had a life threatening setback related to stress and they “noted” it in my file but still pile on the stress with constant phone calls. Worst bank ever!

      Worst bank, dishonest practices and no customer service. They transferred $1211 out of my business checking account twice when I only requested one transfer. I opened a claim with them which was denied even though I provided all supporting documentation for their error.
