            Crescent Avenue Plastering and Painting **** charged us $1200 to refinish a wood garage door and then damaged the door by staining it with a very dark and ugly stain. We did not ask for this stain and they did not show us a sample of the stain before they started.After the sun had shined on it the dark stain absorbs the heat from the sun and produces many large blisters in the finish. We did not have this problem before they stained the door. It looks really bad.This refinishing occurred from October 7 through October 9, 2019. We noticed the blister shortly after they finished the job. The owner came out and lightly sanded and refinished a few spots. He did not remove the dark and ugly stain. The blister reoccurred. We called him many times after that and left messages. He has not returned any of our phone calls.A picture of the blisters is attached. This was taken on a cool day (57 Fahrenheit). They are any more and large blisters on warmer days.We want our $1200 back.

            Asked for a quote for a job that needed to be done. they gave a verbal quote and agreed on a price. Never received a written quote, when they came in i reminded him of the price and he agreed to the price. Then after they came in and set up for an hour and moved all the furniture, I was told that it will be another $500.00. He at first told me that the job was worse than he thought, then he said that he gave the original price because he wanted to do the job right away, which we did not do, nor did he tell me that price was for only at that time. Once I complained about the increase in price he said that if I did not agree that he would pack up and leave. We settled for increase of $400.00, then he wrote up the quote for me to sign. The job was done well.
