I am writing this email due to fraudulent information provided to me while trying to reserve a truck. Though Mr. * appears to be a nice person the information he provided me was incorrect. I paid $300 as a non-refundable booking fee and then was provided a quote of $11000 for moving expenses. Mr. * stated that I would need to pay $880.00 in advance to hold this request and Im guaranteed a price match. I advised him that I had another company coming to my house to do a visual walk through on Saturday (it was Tuesday). He stated that that would be okay because no matter what, I paid for a price match. To make a long story short, I spoke with a manager today who said the price match was (first she said 48 hours, then she came back and said 24 like the airlines). I would never had paid the $880.00 if I knew I only had one day to match. I still had two other companies waiting to bid. Mr. * stated, go ahead and let them come on Saturday. We will price match anything. Needless to say, she stated she was going to keep the $1180. That was the main reason I used my AMEX, just in case something fraudulent like this happened. Now it explains how Mr. * spent so much time trying to explain the * score from the BBB I found out the next day after I reserved the truck. I cancel my move due to fraudulent information.
