Do not use this institution. Liars, thieves, cheats... Been a member for years. Deposited a check from my account at another bank. Help it for 8 days AFTER the check cleared the supplying bank. Then the *** asked me what I planned to do with the funds. How is that any of your business? Spoke to a supervisor... complete buffoon. GO ANY WHERE BUT BCU!Baxter Credit Union Response

I have received numerous overdraft fees when I don't even have overdraft protection. BCU is covering nothing but still charging me. I'm not even using the account now and I'm still getting over draft charges because of transfers. I transfer any money in this account to my new account because I don't want to use this bank anymore. Is this there way of punishing me?? I have a $124 loan I am trying to pay off so I can close this account. You can't email anyone. You have to call and the answer I get is we can't help you until you account is positive. I'm a single mother of three. I can't keep doing this. I've gone from a zero balance to -$67 of overdraft fees charged to me. Hello ****, thank you for sharing your experience with the Credit Union and we apologize for any frustration this has caused. In reviewing your account, we found that the ************************ is currently suspended, therefore, attempted transactions are not covered by the Credit Union. Any transaction will be declined as there is no available balance to cover them, and the account will be assessed a Non-Sufficient Funds fee (NSF, or Overdraft fee). Please note that we cannot control a merchants attempt to charge your account, and fees will continue for every transaction attempt when there is no balance to cover it. We recommend reaching out to these merchants and reaching an agreement with them to temporarily stop the charges to this account and avoid further fees. I have been banking with this credit union for a couple of years while employed with my previous employer. For the most part I been having good service. Today my deposit did not go through. I understand the global outage. All of my co workers got paid today with there respective banks. I called this morning about my deposit. All I got from some uncaring person was, " Sorry, Were under a Global outage. Anything else I can help you with. How about late fees? They were able to transfer funds out my checking account for my car note. Leaving me with nothing. I will be going with another credit soon. Hello *******, thank you for sharing your experience with the Credit Union. In reviewing your account, we found that the loan payment is set to transfer automatically from your checking account on the loan due date, which is the 18th of every month. As a result, a partial payment was transferred with the available funds on your checking account. On 7/19/2024, a global outage impacted some of our operations. While your direct deposit was delayed, it posted to your account on that same day. Additionally, we were not able to find any late fees associated with the partial payment or global outage. Honestly, I have not had a great experience. Our company was extended an offer simply because we share a building with another larger organization and I was excited to learn about a credit union that had a personal feel/touch. I have not had my account that long and I have not transferred everything over to my accounts and I am glad I didn't, here's why: 1 - After submitting my employment verification I made a few small deposits and transactions and used the account as a side account to see if I really liked the company and if they really stood for what they said they did. No issues there. 2 - I confirmed with the contact who signed me up that I could make deposits via ATM and have those funds available same day with no issues and they confirmed. I had taken a day off of work to run specific errands requiring banking/cashier checks, when I attempted to make my deposits I was declined. I spent an hour on the phone trying to sort out the issue only to be told that my employment was never verified. 3 - I reached out to the rep who signed me up and I never heard back on the issue... 4 - fast forward about a month, before I go to use my debit card i contact my rep to make sure there are no issues with my account and I was told I am good to go - only to attempt to use my debit card and it is being declined, with sufficient funds. 5 - I contact my rep while at the store and am told the card has a hold on it, I can't get clear answers from my rep as to why and he tells me he is working to remove the holds and also overnighting (his words) me a new card, at no charge, for the inconvenience. It's been 2 days and i can't reach my rep, but was able to reach customer service and they advised it should deliver today... My rep keeps saying "This has never happened before" and I just can't believe it. I have had nothing but problems. I'm just thankful I didn't have all of my deposits transferred into this account. I would have been SOL. And they don't seem to care to do anything.Baxter Credit Union Response

In reviewing your account, we found that early restrictions were placed to the account while we received and reviewed the requested documentation. Subsequently, we were able to validate your information and on 7/15/2024 all restrictions were removed from your account. Regarding the declined transactions, these were a result of three invalid PIN attempts which then blocked your card as a security measure.Currently, there is no block or restriction on your card or account. Worst credit union to replace a debit card, something as necessary to a member like managing their money and trying to prevent fraud because their debit card was taken to a back room at an **** store by the employees and shared with the team to try to charge the card due to the teams' inability to use a card and the fact that the card is most likely de-magnetized and for the transaction of shipping a phone they have to slide the card because their policy does not allow for a chip transaction, I shouldn't have to go through this many hoops to replace a card, seriously troubled system the Baxter website, the app and calling on the phone have proven to be useless because card replacement isn't something they do I guess, the best solution is to close the account and bank elsewhere. This credit union is terrific at setting up the account with excellent service; however, if you run into an issue, they are not set up to handle it. I don't need Baxter to respond, as I know they are required by law to respond; nothing can be done to sway me back to using your inefficient services. I have too many choices to waste more time on Baxter; I want to leave a review to help and share my Baxter experience with others before they choose a credit union.Baxter Credit Union Response

I've been banking with BCU since 2019, its always been a great experience. From calling the number on my card for questions or disputes to getting a suggested loan amount when I had to purchase a new vehicle. This is the WORST bank to bank with. Please run.... I recently had fraudulent activity on my account. They cancel the cars, which is normal. I was told a new card was shipped May 25th, only to find out June 6th my card was sent to the wrong address. I then spoke with someone who claim they will overnight me a new card, since my rent is late now, however that was June 6th and today is June 7th and I haven't received notification on a email about delivery. I have an account with *** and an account with fed ex to where I can see incoming deliveries. I found out I will not receive my card until Monday evening on June 10th. Meaning I have been put in a complete hole. I cannot get a virtual card info to even pay my rent. To add insult to injury, my overdraft protection was taken away from me for 6 months because of fraudulent activity, which I reported it. After review, we found that when the shipping address had been placed, part of the apartment number had been cut off. Since you have brought this to our attention, we have shipped out a new card to you and ensured that the full address was listed. We show this card was delivered on 6/6/24. Courtesy *************** allows you to overdraw the available funds in the account. This service will attempt to pay (when possible) checks, ACHs, and recurring Debit Card purchases presented against insufficient available funds in the account. Courtesy *************** is available on Checking, and Money Market accounts open at least 30 days and in good standing. This is the WORST banking experience I have EVER had I will NOT recommend anyone to join this bank. I feel like they are a scam. I receive to wire transfer to help me cover a few expensive until my uncle and auntie were able to make it home. This bank flagged them as fraud ok understood to protect my safety as well as the senders is what I was thinking. The they begin to ask for me for the receipts for the purchase I was making and the information to verify that I was indeed making this purchase which I felt was crossing the line. I thought ok maybe the would just place the funds on hold for a period of time and than release them. Oh about 7 months later and I still have not received a dime of my money I was told they were going to send it back to the sender they still haven't. Now they are telling me they I have to wait 1 full year and claim my funds from the government this is a scam rip off and thief it you ask me. After reviewing your account, we found that no incoming wire was received to this account, however, several Peer-to-Peer transactions (Cash App) were received which were followed by highly concerning withdrawal activity in the account. None of the information or documents we requested to validate this activity could be verified. Additionally, BCU confirmed that the information provided over the phone to our representatives was false. Due to this activity, the funds were escheated to the State as we could not determine those funds rightfully belonged to the member. The worst bank or credit union I've ever dealt with. After over 6 months, BCU has still refused to provide paperwork for vehicle titling. A title that they are asking me for and charging me fees over. A vehicle fraud investigator with the ********** of ******* has made a determination that BCU has not provided the correct paperwork. BCU still refuses what is required of them so now I am forced to work with an attorney to collect fees owed to me and have a judge give BCU a court order to provide the paperwork. Its their loan. Think about how stupid that sounds. A one page piece of paper that they just won't get done. Never in your life should you ever work with these people. I'm spending time opening new accounts with a new group so I can get my business and everything away from BCU. They don't know the law, they don't know the process for their own loans, and they are incompetent. Judging by all the horrible reviews, BCU is run by amateurs. Don't do business with the weak and incompetent. They'll waste your time. Look at their reviews. They're horrid. Possibly a scam organization. Our supervisor left several voicemails to find a resolution to this matter. Since we could not reach you, we had to send the packet directly to the dealership on March 21, 2024 in which specific questions should be directed to them. I have been with BCU for close to 4 years now. In the beginning offers moved slow, I grew agitated however learned that BCU is a relationship based institution who also have their own internal type scoring system for lending, I have some of the best interest rates around for all.my loan products with Bcu . To me I found the system to be a plus working hard to show my credit worth paid off in the end. Give Baxter a chance before writing them off . I also appreciate being able to speak to actual branch employees Monday through Friday :-)Baxter Credit Union Response
