*****, let me begin by saying I'm sorry you feel I was unprofessional. As far as the lateness of arrival, I gave you a window of time and was close to it, running service work is not an exact science.With that being said, I arrived at your home to isolate and separate a sub panel to code. While on site, I observed the following: 1) flickering lights on the second floor 2) no ground wire to the panel that controls the second floor 3) the panel was installed incorrectly. You and I discussed the flickering lights. Which were very evident. You commented you were glad the home inspector missed it.I completed the removal of the bond s**** and strap and was paid for a service call with panel work.Given a chance to reflect on my observations, I realized you need a ground wire run from the main panel in the basement to the sub panel on the second floor. I believe the *** (electrical metal tubing aka conduit) from the main panel to the second-floor sub panel is compromised. I spoke with the city, and my assessment was echoed. Furthermore, the ground wire is a requirement under city code. Please feel free to contact them to verify. As a show of good faith, I deducted the original amount of the service call from the total of the estimate to install a new ground wire.I gave you a receipt that showed your payment and included the details on what is not complete. I cant in good conscience and professionalism give you a receipt that says the repairs were made in full, because they are not complete and do not comply with code.
