My wife and I purchased a pool from a major retailer and were assigned Advanced Contracting as our third party installer. To start, the excavation process was an absolute nightmare. For something we thought was included in the outrageously priced peace of mind package, it turns out its an extra $1600. My wife and I moved around our work schedules to accommodate the scheduled excavation and install dates that were verified several times; 1st day for the excavators to come with the bobcat, 2nd day for the install. Nobody showed up the first day for the excavation. Every time I called the office I was told they should be there soon, until they stopped answering my calls. Ultimately, I received a text at 5pm saying the excavators would be coming the next day instead. The next day, the excavator shows up and was unprofessional, complaining about how many other jobs he had that day. Had I not needed to get the excavation done I would have told him to leave. Because he showed up a day late, there were no dump trucks available to haul the dirt away, which I was told by the office I could get one Friday morning when he finished on Thursday, but since he never showed that messed up the haul out of the dirt. The rest of that Friday I waited for the installers. I called every hour and was told they were on their way, only to receive a text after 4 pm, again, saying theyd be out the next day since the installation they were working on had complications. I wouldve appreciated them being honest from the beginning instead of telling me they were on the way. The next day, the pool installers arrived (later than the office had told **) but they did a good job. We were then left with the mound of dirt in our yard. ****, the owner, seemed like a very nice guy on the phone and wanted to help when I called, but did nothing. I had to dig the dirt out myself, a total of 6 tons that took me a month and almost $1,000 in trailer and disposal fees.
