In November my son was diagnosed with aplastic anemia a life threatening illness. While donating bone marrow to save my son I was illegally fired from my job, documented by a judges decision on the matter. I made property manager aware of the situation and instead of showing care or concern she started threatening to throw me out as soon as rent was late. They filed a lawsuit against me while my son was recovering after being 2 months late on rent. I contacted them and offered payment but property manager refused to accept it and told me the only way to fix this is to get your stuff and get out. For 2 months I tried to pay the back rent and they refused to accept eventually taking me to court to obtain a judgement even though once again on day of court I offered to pay full balance. My offers to pay back rent were met with ridicule and degradation by the attorney for them. The only business in the world I ever heard of that refuses to accept full payment and would rather *** you and take you to court leaving my family and specifically recovering son on the streets. Not once was my family showed any compassion or caring just treated with absolute contempt by the property manager and their attorney. The property manager even told me she had recordings of my family while we were in our unit with the door closed thinking we had some privacy which I'm pretty sure is against the law. Beyond that she took great joy in reenacting the conversations from the recordings word for word. When I stated I wanted the police to come make a report about my family being recorded in my unit without our consent I was threatened so I kept quiet thinking that was best to keep the peace. How wrong I was. Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had at an apartment. I am currently looking into violations of fair housing act against my family, specifically my son, for his disabilities and health is***s. Horrible people with no empathy for others.
