      This complaint is to Victoria in the Park to address the severe issue that significantly impacted my wedding day, held on September 3rd, 2023. The crux of the problem was the complete lack of air conditioning in a facility that was expected to provide comfort and an enjoyable experience for my guests and me. That day the temperature exceeded 100 degrees ************ levels around 90%. The venue was chosen for its reputation, ambiance, and suitability for hosting weddings. It is expected to have air conditioning. It began when vendors arrived at 12pm. One complained about the facility's unbearable heat/ absence of functioning air conditioning. I arrived at 4pm & complained about the extreme heat. I was assured that the downstairs where the reception would be held would be cooler, but it wasn't. Despite numerous complaints, no efforts were made to rectify the situation. By 7pm, 350 guests arrived & the heat became unbearable. Guests left the wedding early, and my centerpieces which were flowers wilted. The staff did not take any action to address the issue. Hours later, two small floor fans were placed & they opened the doors, which did nothing to alleviate the discomfort. They stated that all the air conditioning units were broken & there was nothing they could do. I tried to reach out to Victoria in the Park for weeks to seek a resolution and compensation for the ruination of my wedding day. ***********************, manager of sales, took no action. ***********************, the *** and part-owner, indicated he would speak with the other owners and get back to me in one week and that was a month ago. The lack of action, the broken promises, and the inadequate response from the venue staff compounded the issue, resulting in the disappointment and distress of my guests and me. My primary goal is to receive a refund of the expenses incurred due to the venue's failure to deliver on their commitments and ensure that future clients do not have to go through the same distressing experience.
