Emtrenomics goes by many names, including BusinessToday and TaxationToday. The gentleman I spoke with , based out of the ** in ****** **, was very easy to talk to. The main pitch was to help your company prosper via improved means of operations, tax structure etc. Trouble is, they would pretty much need to know your business better than you to accomplish significant savings. For some of you out there, just starting out, this may be easy for them to do. "Are you incorporated? LLC? Have insurance? etc.? Pretty basic stuff. For those more savvy in business, might be wise to invest the $1,300 fee elsewhere. What fee you ask? Note, I was casually asked to sign a paper to authorize an expert to meet with me later in the week to further discuss matters. Fortunately, I read it before signing. "This letter is to confirm my understanding regarding payment to Business Today fot the scheduled assessment to follow." A box was checked off .We are receiving a check for the amount of $1300. Not gonna happen!They do have a guarantee, that the fee will be refunded after the completion of the assessment, if you feel the value received did not exceed your investment, which hints that much more $$ would need to be spent to make the changes they suggest. If you balk, and this is only my opinion, then the claim would be that the assessment was not completed, and that they get to keep the $1300. Another point. A quick check reveals that this firm has various regional vice Presidents, but the corporate office in ****** only lists 3 business principals at the moment. They cannot be reached directly via email from their corporate website as it directs you to an agreement type sheet instead. No email is given on the business card I was given. I am not going to reveal the person's name per review rules, but I do all business via email and text to obviously have a record of what's what. *******************, (now retired) would approve, as she references text and email as evidence all the time in her cases on what was agreed between parties. The firm did leave a copy of the 'unsigned' agreement in case I changed my mind. Again, very professional in both speech and knowledge, but that is the **** of any worthy salesperson. It just irked me that the $1300 was an upfront cost. In my business, evaiuating a job and submitting a quote is a 'no cost ' scenario. I do it 20 times a week. With some other business models, such as a dealership fixing an engine, an examination charge (estimate) to find out what is wrong is reasonable. That fact is stated right up front. After an evaluation, an estimate of cost is made, it's either fix it or not, again you get a choice. These estimate charges are usually applied to the final ****. Perhaps that is the case with this company, but it was not explained as such. Also, when, if ever, is a company considered 'fixed' with respect to tax strategy, corporate structure etc.? Remember, you are spending money to do the fixes (as yet unknown) they suggest, when does that spending end?Hope this review helps. Note, the one star is for 'politeness'. Again, just my opinions.
