I have been getting my repairs done at my local ***** at *******************************************************. In March I did my tires, breaks and alignment for about $1,300, and a week and a half ago (6/18/22) I did a Rack in pinion and alignment for $1850. They had to align the car twice after this last repair, in order to do an alignment all the front end components have to be tight and secure. At no time they told me there was no issue with my front end components. 4 days after the repair of my rack in pinion my front end fell off while I was driving and one wheel came off. I was lucky that this didn't happen on the highway where if so someone could've gotten hurt. I had to tow my car back to my house because Car X wasn't open and I payed $200 for my car to be towed, it was not drivable. I called Car X to make them aware of what happened and they sent a tow truck to pick up my car. The next day they called me and said that it was not their fault because I had loose parts in the front end. I was never told that i needed any parts for my front end and if they would've told me that anything was needed I wouldve OK the repair to get it done right. Now they are saying that theyre not responsible for what happened and want to charge me $1,500 more to fix it. I feel that it was just a bad repair what caused this problem and they should fix my car for no charge. I feel theyre just taking advantage of me because I am a younger guy and that this is my first car. I got my grandfather involved because he has a lot of experience in automotive, it took 4 days talking to my grandfather back and forth for Car X to react and fix the car. The issue that I have right now is that when they told me that the car was finally fixed they wouldn't let me pick up my car unless I payed for the tow from my house to the shop. They fixed the car because they knew that it was a bad repair. I feel they should give me the money back on the $300 on the 2 towing.
