Worst dealership in the ************ area. Had my car for a week and not once did they look at it. They don't call to update you about your vehicle and they will lie to your face and tell you they will update/fix your car. ******* and **** (service manager) are awful. Both don't care about your needs. DO NOT COME TO THIS DEALERSHIP. YOU WILL SPEND HOURS CALLING AND CALLING AND NOBODY ANSWERING. DO NOT COME HERE!!!Review from Kathy S

I took my car Nov. 6, to Berwyn Kia to fix the check engine light. I was told it would take a day or two, so I rented a vehicle for 3 days. A week later, they claimed they were waiting on my warranty company. I called them who said they couldn't do anything until *** sent them photos and communicated what they were working on. I had to call *** ****** to relay the message. After a few more days, they sent pictures but never spoke with my warranty co. She I had to ask them to do so, On Nov 22nd they said my car was ready. They charged me over $880. I had a $250 deductible, but they said certain things weren't covered. As I was going home the car jerked and shook violently all the way. I turned around and took it back, but they said they couldn't look at it until for 6 days because they had other cars. I insisted my car was there first. They said I could leave it or bring it back. That meant I had to get another rental, so I attempted to keep it, but it stopped on the way home and I had to call my insurance company to have it towed back to *** on my own. Another 26 days later it's still there and now she says I need a motor. I didn't need a motor when I brought it there, it was driving fine. The check engine light was on, but they kept saying it was the spark plugs which they installed last December. Minus*Review from Mary C

This started in May today we're in July I wish I could give a negative 1 for a review. *** has had my car for over a month. This whole ordeal started in May 15th or so, when I called for a service appointment only to get one for June 13th. When they finally did receive my vehicle I was told another 3 weeks to even diagnose it. Needless to say I'm still waiting as on July 10th for my car to be repaired. In the meantime all I as for is a loaner/rental do that I can get to work and get back to some kind of normal flow of my life. First I was told when all the parts are in next im told when the car is actually bring worked on. And return phone calls from Brain ******* (i guess thats his name. the person who answered the phone wasn't sure) the service Manager are gone without return. ****** the service person isn't of any help only to tell me he explained it would be a while because they short staff, and I understand but at least help me because the amount of time my car has been there is really unacceptable. I've miss holiday family functions in state and out because of the slow return of my car.I'm at a point were I'm looking for the owner ********** Meyer and General Manager *************************, maybe they can help me get a loaner/rental.Review from Steven S

I ***** dropped my car off at Berwyn Kia on December 19, 2022 to have a alternator and belt put on my car. I was charged $570.00 for labor - $356.87 for alternator and $42.75 for the belt . I didn't get car back until January 04, 2023. I was told that it roughly took two hours to do the job but was charged an additional 2.5 hours due to some type nonsense regarding some type of crazy calculation. I complained about being charged for those additional hours that they were not working on my car. I was told by the manager that is how they do business. I told him that that was not fair to me a SENIOR CITIZEN to be taken advantage of. He replied that's way he does business SENIOR CITIZEN or not. My total bill was $1012.58. After protesting l reluctantly pay it. Two days later my engine light came on and I called Berwyn Kia and asked to speak to the manager and told him about the engine light coming he said that if I brought the car back in that I would have to pay an additional $170.00 for another diagnostic and that he would not be able to do that for at least another week and half to two weeks. I was loss for words. As a SENIOR CITIZEN and on a fix income and had all ready been taken advantage. My reply was no thanks I don't have any more money. It is despicable for a business to be so callus to any one, especially to a SENIOR CITIZEN. I bought my car brand new from *** and that was the first time and the last time I will buy a car from ***. This is not a lie this actually happened. I have been misused and abused. I hope that this doesn't happen to anyone else.Review from Quincy M

We were nothing more than a transaction to Berwyn Kia.___________________________________________________________Our 2011 Kia ******* had been plagued by some recalls that we were able to get taken care of at the **********. That was a decent experience, but it all went downhill from there. Once those had been taken care of we asked for them to check out our check engine light that had been bugging us for the last couple of years. Almost every month from Oct 2021 to Aug 2022, we had taken it to the Kia ********** in Berwyn and experienced a complete lack of communication, long wait times (they would hold onto our cars for days running smoke tests), and many diagnoses to replace unnecessary parts that looked more like a checklist than actually figuring out the issue. When we were told our final two options were to replace our ---plastic--- tank for $2000 because of a hairline crack that couldn't be seen or buy a new car from the ********** (big shocker there), we knew we had to take our ******* elsewhere. We collected our car, said we would "think" about those options, and asked close friends where they went. Everyone we had asked all highly recommended a family-owned shop without any hesitation. We made an appointment, spoke to the main mechanic, and through their efforts were able to figure out it was our alternate fuel pump with only a ---couple--- of smoke tests. It was 10+ appointments of guesswork (leaving us without a car for a month+ in total) at the ********** vs two smoke tests (leaving us without a car for two days total) and the right set of eyes at the local mechanic. Instead of paying $2000 for a tank that was not needed, we spent a total of $300 for the pump and labor. Our engine light has not been on since we got that taken care of in September. We have no plans to ever return there to buy a car, service what we have now, or say hi.Review from elvira m

My mother took her *** to get a basic oil change and tune-up. She drove her car with new problems she noticed while driving. She took the car back, they said they would look at it and had her car for 3 and a half weeks. She called twice to find out status of her *** and no one could give her an answer. I called finally and spoke w/the manager, no one could tell me where the car was or what the problem was. There was lack of communication and organization. All *** said was that the car is not drivable, we took it to two different auto repairs. They both said that who ever worked on the car prior failed to tighten the rims in the car. I have all documents that show the date of what was done to the car, in my opinion *** wanted my mother to pay to have the car looked at to cause more problems to her car so that she would have to give them more money for repairs that they were purposly causing. All the efidence I have points to that direction. No one offered to give her a salution but to dish out more money to have it looked at. My mother takes very good care of her cars, and she doesn't have a problem paying for repairs, but she was being taken advantage of, ifg I am wrong, that means that still *** was working ineffectively that she could have died if those tires would have fallen off. So I don't know which is worse, the careless of their job or their human decency to help their customers. I guest I should be thankful that I received an apology for losing her car.Review from Joe P

I purchased an EV6 from them and after initially being happy I purchased the car I am also very upset at the process of getting it. Part of my trade in was being cut for a check to pay off a separate loan and they initially stated they would have the check sent out the day after I purchased. They then pushed that from Wednesday to "end of the week", which soon became Monday instead. Then somehow they claimed that the only employee capable of writing a check was the General Manager and that he was on vacation for the whole week. So I ended up having to wait OVER TWO WEEKS to get a check worth 80% of the value of my previous car. I've heard plenty of horror stories of *** dealers and hoped I was getting lucky but it seems like more of the same. It's a shame because I love the car (*** **** but the experience left a bad memory at the start of owning it. All the more reason to go the way of the future and take dealers out of the equation, especially so that they can't throw on a markup of a few grand on top of the price.Review from Miguel A

Took my vehicle for an oil change. They recommended a "flush" ($389.98). After I explained that my car couldn't heat up properly, They guaranteed the "flush" would solve the issue. I told them to do it. WORST MISTAKE EVER. Then after doing the "flush". Ended up telling me to change the car's Thermostat (another $404.27) . After their last effort of changing the Thermostat then the car wasn't properly heating up no more then that's when they proceeded to tell me that anti freeze was causing issue due to the "stock color of the anti-freeze" was causing the issue. Total spent at the this repair shop was $794.25 these numerous trips of trying to get my car repaired just ended up a hole in my wallet. Took my car to the original dealership and he ended up telling me it was none of that . That it was a "heat core" issue. Thus the reason why it wasn't working properly in the first place. Totally will not recommend. The people they hire have no idea what they are doing and are inexperienced not to mention they are completely unprofessional when it comes to explaining what problem my car has and keep on telling me that they have to do other things to my car to get it to work without telling me why they are doing it and charging me flat out for the service not even asking me if i want to procced with that option
