I dropped off my car for bumper repair. Upon picking up my car I noticed that there was a new damage on the driver's side front door and brought it up to the bodyshop owner's attention. This door has been freshly painted just a few weeks prior, by another bodyshop-CDE Collission business and had no scratches. When I brought this up to the owner's attention, he turned aggressive and loud and started accusing me of lying. He refused to repair the damage. He then used touch up paint in attempt to fix the scratch, but scratch is still showing. I expressed my disbelief that they repaired the car bumper but created a new significant damage. Business owner gave me $25 credit from the original estimate and said I have a "Lifetime Warranty" on the bumper?! I went to several other bodyshops to check if scratch can be repaired. But after buffing, it is still showing. I was told that based on the placement of the scratch (lower part of the driver door)) it seems that someone's workboot made a scratch. Considering that it is summertime and typically people do not wear boots unless they are mechanic working in the store, it is obvious how this damage was created and by whom It is not expected to drop off car for repair, only to discover that bodyshop created a damage on another part of the car while car was there for a few day I paid $600 for bumper repair because that was the only way that my car keys would be handed off to me. It is unprofessional that the business would create the same if not greater damage on the brand new car door on my vehicle. The only reason I went to this business for bumper repair is because they had 5 star reviews. But after damage they created on my car and their refusal to correct it properly I wish to get a refund or a proper repair for damage that was created on their premise either by their staff, or any patrons that frequent the repair shop and/or their parking lot. Their rating also needs to be affected and reduced from 5 stars.
