    Status:

Mr. ********************** of Pearn Construction agreed to do several projects in my basement at ************************ He agreed to complete the main room for $10,000, including materials (text on 4/4/23 at 3:54 p.m.), he agreed to build a wall to close in the bathroom for $1500, including materials (text on 4/12/23), and complete the bathroom work for $6000 (text on 5/16/23). During our discussion, he agreed to charge me back for the cost of shiplap ($2085.63), the cost of the drywaller ($1180), and the materials for the tiling ($1191.21). The amount billed is $17500.00 with debits of $4,456.84. Total amount owed is $13,043.16. However, we have paid him $13,597.20.Mr. ********************** has engaged in intimidation tactics to pay him additional $5,046.25 plus $35.00. He filed a Mechanics Lein on our home on 7/13/2023 with fraudulent claims, knowing full well that we dont owe him additional money. He is doing this in an attempt to intimidate and threaten us into paying him more than we owe him. Mr. ********************** uses poor business management practices, for example, on May 16, 2023, he requested that I meet with him and asked if he and his crew could do the entire bathroom, including the tile installation, for $6000 including materials that we discussed by text. I informed him that I only hire specialists in their trade, that I would prefer to hire a tile specialist and had a good quote, under $2000 for all the tile work plus materials. However, he told me that he would be out of town and his guys needed work and agreed to charge back the materials for the tile work that we discussed by text. In addition, the tile was done substandard and has many places where the grout is not uniform, there were parts of missing grout where caulk was used to fill grout space. We would like Mr. ********************** to remove the Mechanics Lein and to return the amount that is owed to us in the amount of $554.04.
