The information in this review simply is not accurate. This may be due to a miscommunication by our team when reviewing recommended services and testing steps with ****. It could also be a simple misunderstanding by ****. Having received no questions, clarifications, follow up calls or returned calls we can only speculate and do regret he wasn't satisfied. From review of ****** visit, he came to the center with Air Conditioning Issues and Vehicle Performance Issues including a Check Engine Light. We offer a Free Air Conditioning Check which was performed. The next step after finding no mechanical component issues or electrical issues related to the Air Conditioning, which is part of the free A/C check, is to perform an evac and recharge with Dye and Diagnostic time. ************ was declined by ****. This is standard in the industry as without Freon or the correct amount of Freon in the system, the Compressor will not engage. This package includes not only the Freon but Dye and Diagnostic time to ensure the ** is working on departure or identifying the root cause which wouldn't be possible otherwise. It also includes follow up if the coolness diminishes in days/weeks/months at NO additional diagnostic charge so we can ensure resolution to customer issues. Regarding the engine testing and time spent diagnosing his issue, more than a single oxygen sensor was needed as **** ************* The vehicle needed a Camshaft position sensor AND an oxygen sensor based on our testing and the vehicle's stored codes. It is great if the light is off after **** had service performed elsewhere but will likely resurface after a drive cycle, pure speculation of course as we didn't perform the work. Had a Oxygen Sensor and A/C recharge been all that was needed, the price would have been comparable to the work done elsewhere. A Cooling system pressure test was also recommended due to a coolant leak but declined. Regarding pricing, it is impossible to know how other shops price and perform their services, at what level of quality, with what level experience of technician and all shops are not the same. A 6 **************************** brand that performs complete car care is different than an independent shop or backyard mechanic. Our cost of goods, payroll, franchise fees, equipment, supplies and overhead differ, that's just a fact and not a slam on any shop or mechanic. As such, pricing is specific to each business. We will beat competitor prices when given the opportunity but do need to see the estimate and ensure similar services, quality of parts and warranty. We weren't given that opportunity in this case but would have welcomed it and this could have addressed any miscommunication or misunderstandings on either side.
