    Was told by Subaru Concord I needed a Valve Body Replacement according to their Diagnostics. I take it in on 08/14/2023 and Valve Body Replacement is successful, but now needed a engine harness and got quoted $1,000-2,500. I had college the day after 300 miles away and had no time to get this resolved. I asked the tech if it was safe to drive, he assured me yes. During this same service, they also broke my key fob and the best solution they had for me was to super glue it together. I had college and decided I needed to go. Come February 11, 2023, I leave a review detailing this interaction on ****** maps, and left a 1 star of 5. I am replied to and told to call the dealership. I call the next business day and get put in touch with *********************, Fixed Operations Director. He asks me about my experience and asks me to delete my review as a favor, and in return h*** put a engine harness and get me a key, free of charge. I agree to this because while unethical, I want my car to be back to normal. He sets me an appointment for 2/19/23, and I take down my review as agreed upon. The day comes of the appointment and I arrive 30mins prior to my 10am appointment, leave the key and wait in their lobby. 11:30 I get told they ran a diagnostic and its a different part, but itll still be covered. The key issue was also fixed during this appointment. 2pm comes around and it turns out it is the engine harness in the end. I get invited into the General Manager, ************* office to talk about this issue. He tells me that he cant guarantee I wont pay out of pocket and that I need to give him time to talk to ***** since ***** is out sick. He says he stands behind his employees although he cant stand behind ****** word. I called Subaru of America who claims to be Customer Advocacy but unless youre under warranty, youre on your own. Im reaching out to the BBB to ensure Subaru Concord follows through on rectifying the issue of my engine harness, as agreed free of charge.
