Nationwide is absolutely horrible, been dealing with them for three months, a huge tree had fell on the back of my house havent got anywhere in my claim. I am now on my second claim specialist. The first one barely communicated with us. The second one has no clue where the information is at that was sent to the first claim specialist. ( you would think they would have it scanned into a computer system somewhere) and now theyre wanting to set up a third inspection stating they didnt receive the information from the last two inspections. HOW????? They are the ones that sent the inspectors out!Nationwide Response

I have had Nationwide Insurance for over 10 years! They recently tried to pull a fast one on me because I was paying a decent price for my vehicles. I have auto pay set up with them and they took a payment and reversed it. I am a busy person so had no idea this happened.... When I was aware of what happened, I tried calling them multiple times and they would not answer. When the policy was canceled then they reached out to me to try to "Re-instate" my insurance policy for a premium of what I was paying. Absolutely one of the shadiest insurance companies out of the bunch. I even sent my bank statements and screenshots of what is going on but they do not care. They just want to rid me of the price I was paying to charge me more. Please avoid and be safe from ***** companies my friendsNationwide Response

I bought a travel policy from ******* (A Nationwide company) on 12/04/2023 for a trip with American Queen ******* on 12/07/2024. Policy # NW0136-03, Certificate # *******.American Queen filed for bankruptcy on 02/2024 & cancelled this trip. Our claim to your company was denied. We then requested a return of our premium paid for this policy, $498, & it also was denied.This policy is not effective until 12/07/2024. It was valid only for the period of 12/07/24 until 12/15/24. My understanding is that one has to have "an insurable interest" in any trip involved.This trip was cancelled. IT DOES NOT EXIST ANYMORE. THERE IS NO TRIP TO INSURE ******** CAN NATIONWIDE OR ******* REFUSE TO REFUND OUR $498 NOW?Nationwide Response

We've had Nationwide for a number of years, but this is going to be the last one. One of our cats has had crystals in his urine ages ago which Nationwide treated as a preexisting condition. Fine. But denying a claim for a completely unrelated (as attested to by a veterinarian) UTI just because of an episodic illness that occurred four years ago, treating any further urinary issues as preexisting conditions and then refusing to listen to reason and provide access to decision-makers in order to discuss the issue is unconscionable. Will be switching insurances at the first opportunity.Nationwide Response

Every time I try to go to the website for my insurance the page is blank. Whoever is in charge of their website is obviously incompetent. I will absolutely be switching pet insurances soon and am appalled by this company. Definitely will never go through this company for any insurance needs. My recommendation is 0/10 find somewhere/anywhere else.Nationwide Response

I had Nationwide till they kept raising my rates on my mortgage. I am still waiting to get my money back my policy was canceled and have not received my money for over a month now. Very poor customer service you can't speak with anybody they have an automated system that just keeps giving you the runaround and then hangs up on you. My escrow is short now and I got to come up with the money because my other bills are due. What a lie nationwide's on your side the only side there on us for themselves I wouldn't go with themNationwide Response

Nationwide is not on your side. They dropped our pet insurance policies along with 100k others because they care more about money than people and the ones we care about. I asked if they could just move us to a different (more expensive) plan and they said they could, but we would start all over. So everything that has happened to our pets in the 6-7 years weve been with them would now be a preexisting condition. As a result, we may not be able to afford the care that our pet needs now that his illness is considered preexisting.Nationwide Response

This company is going to knowingly kill tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of animals. Their current policy change will tear families apart and cause people to have to rehome their pet or put them down because they can't afford emergency surgery. Absolutely disgusting.Nationwide Response

My parents have been with nationwide for over 20 years and all of a sudden they dropped their policy never made a claim or anything else. They are ripping people off and especially the elderly.. Don’t waste your time or money dealing with this company.Nationwide Response
