In December 2023 I asked for a payment stopped to Get A ********** reservation center, they imposed as a Hotel in ***************. Comenity Bank served as my AAA credit card provider. They filed a dispute, at one time they ruled in my favor and I was promised a payment but when I checked to see why I didnt get my refund the story had changed. They kept asking for more proof to defend my claim. I had given them names and information from the hotel in ***** that the room had not been reserved for my son. I mailed them copies of the Better Business Bureaus report showing that other people complained that Get A Room had also hijack as someone described it their reservation also. I mailed to Comenity that were over one thousand of complaints filed against that company as well as a class action lawsuit. Each time I would check on the status of my dispute Comenity would add another 60 to father investigate. The last time I checked they said it was still pending. I got angry because the person at the phone where I mailed my claimed said she could not find a record of me, by my name nor by my card number. I paid the account off, but I want my money which is over $500.00. After checking Comenity Bank Better Business Bureau report, I could see why a bad report doesnt impress them. Remember this happened in last December and December is almost here again.Review from Lindsey G

******** uses this bank for their credit card. I have canceled this credit card three times now. They keep telling me I have a past due balance when I only used and paid off the credit card one time before canceling. It had made my credit score drop 42 points because, silly me, when I cancel a card I assume it's actually canceled. This company scams people! Disgusting! It's a shame companies like this can exist and nothing comes from there diabolical behavior.Review from Jeanine B

On 9/11/24 at 8:49PM an Ulta representative reach out out to me to let me regarding my Comenity ************ Mastercard know that I had a late fee, interest charge on my credit card. I had never received a statement. After verifying it was correct, the representativepromised to remove the late fee, interest charge if I paid that night. I authorized him to make the payment of $62.94. Reference Number *******. We hung up. I called Ulta Comenity ************ Mastercard back at 9:09 PM to verify that everything was documented in my account. I spoke with India. She verified it was. She mentioned that it would take 3 - 5 days for the money to leave my checking account. I logged on to my bank account today 9/13/24 to verify that it was. I logged into my Ulta account and noticed that the late fee and interest charge were still showing up on the account. I called in today 9/13/24 to Ulta Comenity ************ Mastercard and spoke with a representative (name I didn't get) to ask why the account wasn't ************************. I was told that the most she could credit me was $15. I asked to speak to a manager. She transferred me and the call was disconnected. I called back and spoke to ******** (ID ***** who told me that nothing was documented and that they wouldn't be giving me the late fee and interest charge waived.I have been a loyal Ulta customer since 2017 and have never missed a payment. I find it unacceptable that I was told something, promised really, by 2 people on 9/11 and then by 9/13 was told something completely opposite. This is beyond poor customer service. This is a horrible way to practice business.I'M POSTING THIS TO WARN EVERYONE FROM OPENING UP AN ACCOUNT. THIS IS COMPLETELY UNEXECPTABLE. THIS COMPANY IS DOING A CLASSIC BAIT AND SWITCH - PROMISE YOU SOMETHING AND THEN NEVER DELIVER.Review from Christophe T

My **** support was migrated to comenity bank without my knowledge. **** support payments used to be automatic. the migration was botched. it resulted over $200 in fees.Review from Harriet T

1 STAR only because 0 is not an ********* experience with them was horrible. I had a full beauty credit card by Comenity bank, which I cancelled because of this mess. I charged twice and paid off in full. So I thought, apparently I paid the last charge a day late, so was assessed penalty and late fee. I paid that off, again, they claim a day late. So I was assessed more penalty and late fee. I am thinking what a scam this is, so I paid that off and closed my account. I go away for the summer, I get home and there is a bill for over 100 dollars, when I call them. I am told I paid and closed my account after the due date so these were late fees and interest on late fees (can you even do that????) Got no where with customer service, talk to 2 people, they both told me I had to pay it, no negotiation on the amount, nothing. So, I paid the balance, just to get rid of them. What a mess this has been, I am over 80 years old, I don't need this aggravation. Worse experience I have ever had with a credit card.Review from Eddie C

New account from Academy Sports....Card came and tried to register online to pay my bill, was told by Customer Support that I had to wait 10 days to register account....After 10 days, went back and "successfully" registered my account, then tried to login to pay my bill....Login failed, so I call CS again....Was told that you have to wait 10 days after registering to login, but they would be glad to take my payment online...uh, negative on that....I feel this "bank" is a scam, living off late fees, and possibly "over the phone payments"....Steer clear of this outfit....Review from Wendy G

Terrible security! I had a AAA **** card for 20+ years and never had an issue until last year when it was moved from **** to Comenity. Within 8 months, I had been hacked 3 times through no fault of my own (i.e., subjecting it to scam sites, etc.). They wrote me a letter informing me THEY were closing my account due to the amount of fraudulent activity. Then, yesterday, I received a duplicate credit card from a store that also uses Comenity. The account number was the same as mine but the name on the card was different. Sure enough, my account suddenly had a fake child added to it, and a card issued. I have now closed that account and another store credit card account that ******************** was managing.Review from Denise N

They are horrible; I still have to deal with them even after I closed my account because they keep applying a substantial late fee on a zero balance. Their website is not user-friendly, and neither is their customer service; they just repetitively recite policy. Do not engage with the Comenity dance; the 20% is not worth the headaches.Review from Maria N

I DO NOT recommend this company. After payment off my account and requested that it be closed. They still billed me for Interest fees on account that was closed, twice! They are NOT Trustworthy.Review from Damian W

Have not received a single statement in the mail nor my account number or a account card. When I called to make a payment the robot providing information was incorrect and when informing a customer representative about it I was told it wasn't their problem. When asking to receive access to my account they informed me they could not in anyway give me my account information in person or electronically, they said they have to mail it but I haven't received any mail from them in months so I explained that to them and they told me I needed to go to *** jewelers to get information but *** jewelers doesn't carry comenity bank information and so now I'm just ****** with zero access to my account and a company that absolutely does not care about its customers only it's money I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM.
