Patriot Pool took over for O'Neil's in *******. A replacement cover was ordered by the previous owner. Once the new team went into place the previous owner quit. We waited almost a yr for it. The new owners said they couldn't find records and needed to do an inspection. After the inspection they said the cover was out of warranty and wouldn't give us our cover. We waited 11 months for the run around and then they said it was out of warranty. I will be taking my business to anyone besides them..

Patriot ********** purchased ************************ in September of 2021. The previous owner of ************************ did not communicate anything in regards to this customer during our diligence process leading up to the purchase or operationally after the purchase of ************************ before he left the company. We had no knowledge of any previous interactions with this customer until she called the ******* police department to the ********* retail store in February of 2022 claiming the store was holding her property. The ******* police department left expressing frustration at having their time wasted.Once this customer's presence and dissatisfaction were now identified, our team sprung into action to investigate the situation. There is very little documentation from the previous owner regarding any communications with this customer regarding the hot tub cover in question. There is no record of any payment ever made towards a new cover under previous ownership and to my knowledge the customer has not claimed to have paid for a hot tub cover.The Patriot team provided a complimentary inspection of the customer's existing cover to see if we could justify any kind of warranty to replace her cover at no cost or a reduced cost. Once we identified the model of the cover and the original purchase invoice, we reached out to the manufacturer on the customer's behalf. It became clear that the warranty on the cover expired in May, 2020 which was several months before the customer contacted the previous owner of O'Neills with any concerns. The Patriot team feels very satisfied in their handling of this situation. The interaction was handled as calmly, professionally, and quickly as it could could be handled considering the circumstances.
