I am shocked to read the review from ****** S as it so closely mirrors my own. I was referred to the Bitters location to refinish a metallic shoe. After several weeks of going back and forth with them on the refinishing and me physically going into the shop on several Saturdays I went to pick them up and they were very sloppily done. The buckles and zipper pulls had not been masked off, and they had not removed the straps before refinishing so under the straps was untouched. I explained to the guy (I will not call him a gentleman) what I saw that needed addressing and he wrote it down but then said that I needed to call and speak to the actual repair people.I'm not sure how that's my job to relay the repair information, that's literally his job so, no I did not call.When I went in 2 weeks later to pick them up he immediately started berating me asking if I had called or not. I tried to reply to him but he got very agitated and would never let me get a word in edgewise. He the had the audacity to tell me to step outside the store as if I needed to calm down. Making me step outside only escalated my irritation and when I came back in I asserted that I'd like to say my piece and he continued to talk over and interrupt me. He then started threatening to call the police on me. For context I'm a 4'11" woman.I finally said just let me pay for the shoes to get out of there and he threw me out of the store again and once again said he would call the cops.I called my husband to come over and just get my shoes. When we walked back up to the store he physically locked the door and would only let my husband in and not **** have never been treated so badly by someone in the service industry and minimized by not letting me speak and trying to physically assert dominance over me. I was so mad, I was shaking. And if this is the same guy, he's got a pattern of behavior.

ASSAULTED BY EMPLOYEE AT BROADWAY LOCATION - Will be filing a police report with **** and pressing charges.I need to preface this review with the fact that I am half white/half ******** and have been a professional in AH for 18 years.I picked the shoes up my 8/4, and was shocked at the terrible glue job that was done. Another customer was there, she was waiting to the side. A worker whom I believe to be ******** (not sure) was the only employee there, I do not know his name. I was treated with disrespect by this worker upon picking them up and embarrassed in front of the other customer. He told me thats normal for glue to come out everywhere when fixed and I should have been told that when I dropped them off - I was not told that, if I was I wouldnt have left them there to get serviced by their company. He continued to speak to me in a condescending manner, and when he asked what I want from him, I just said nothing, I guess and left.I came back two weeks later (yesterday, 8/18), to ask for my money back, as I had talked to multiple professionals and they confirmed this type of finish was not normal/okay, and it can be fixed by a different company/professional.I did not take my phone in with me, and that was a major mistake on my part because our conversation didnt last long as a conversation, the worker yelled at me, berated me, wouldnt give me the owners information, threatened to call the cops on me - I asked him to multiple times because at this point he was verbally assaulting me and I did not have my phone or any witnesses, he came out from behind the counter IN MY FACE yelling at me, I had to back up so he would not touch my chest, he backed me into the door which swings open and down the stairsI moved out of the way so he would not physically touch my chest or barrel me out the door and down the stairs, then he literally THREW my shoes on the steps. I left shaking and crying and realized later I was a victim of verbal assault.
