CAN WE HAVE MINUS STARS BECAUSE THATS WHAT I WANT YO SELECT! THIS COMPANY MAY BE THE REASON FOR A LOT OF STOLEN IDENTITIES. I HAVE NO ISSUES WITH A BANK ACCT, I HAVE ONE AND GOOD CREDIT. I ORDERED ONE RECENTLY ONLY TO HAVE A PREPAID ( NOT THE DEBIT) YO LOAD AND LET MY GRANDCHILD USE ONLY IT WOULD BE IN MY NAME. SO THEY COME BACK AND TELL ME I HAVE SOME DORMANT ACCOUNTS OPEN KEEPING THEM FROM SENDING ME A CARD. SO I ESCALATED THIS TO A MANAGER THAT AFTER A COUPLE IF DAYS REACHED OUT TO ME BECAUSE IVE NEVER JAD A NETSPEND THIS WAS A FIRST TIME REQUEST. SO SHE APOLOGIZED AND CLOSED THE ACCOUNTS THAT WERE DORMANT -- I DIDN'T EVEN ASK MORE INFORMATION BECAUSE IM ALREADY KNOWING IF THEY HAVE ACCOUNTS ATTACHED TO ME THEY WERE NEVER OPENED BY ME! SO A WEEK GOES BY AND I GET AN EMAIL TELLING ME- IN ORDER TO OPEN THE CARD IM REQUESTING THEY NEED TO VERIFY ME. SO I SENT THE MY PICS OF SSCARD, DRIVER LICENSE, UTILITIES BILLS, OTHER VERY PERSONAL DOCUMENTS TO PROVE WHO I AM SO THEY CAN SEND THE CARD. AND THEN LATER THAT NIGHT I GET A REPLY SAYING, WE RECEIVED YOUR DOCUMENTS AND YOU'RE NO LONGER ELIGIBLE (?) SO 8M LIKE WHAT DO YOU MEAN -- I TOLD YOU I NEVER HAD A ACCOUNTS WITH YOU PREVIOUSLY. YOUR MGR CALLED ME OFFERED APOLOGIES SAID THOSE OLD ACCOUNTS ARE NOW CLOSED-- MIND YOU THEY NEVER TOLD ME WHAT THEY HAVE IN THEIR POSSESSION TO THINK THESE OLD ACCOUNTS WERE MINE. NEVERTHELESS THEY LIED AND SAID ALL IS WELL ( BASICALLY) JUST GO AHEAD SEND PROOF WHO 8 AM WHICH I SENT AN ABUNDANCE OF INFORMATION. NOW THEY'VE ESSENTIAL COLLECTED ALL MY SENSITIVE DOCUMENTS AND DECLINED TO SEND ME A CARD? THEY NEED TO BE INVESTIGATEDOuro Response

I do not recommend NetSpend!!!! My paycheck was deposited to my account and I was sent a new card. I spent over four days attempting to activate the card to no avail. They would not accept my lease as address verification when Im only 19 so I dont have any bills in my name. I still live with my parent. The representatives were rudethey even hung up on me while I attempted to get my mom to explain what was going on. Whenever I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was left on hold for over 30 minutes!!!! I am beyond frustrated and just want access to the money I worked for.Ouro Response

I have been with Netspend for yrs but after today I dont even want to hear there nameThey locked my account as soon as my ********************** deposited and wouldnt tell me why just kept saying give it 6 business hrs!! Then put I hung up on them when they actually did but no matter what I said while upset its MY MONEY!! So I still havent been able to get my social security check yet because they told me the supervisors are handling important issues ??Ouro Response

My experience with netspend is bad, and they are advertising false information when it comes to transferring money from one account to another. The BBB needs to investigate netspend for fraud.These people are fraudulent and should be investigated.Ouro Response

Netspend i have been a customer for a year and so and this greedy company is charging a few every time I use my card isnt that what cards debit cards are meant to do but every time I use it to go to the grocery or any other place this fn company is charging me to use my debit card that I put money into and they charge me every time I loud up my card so if anyone else thinks this is a Rip off your right it is. Its against the law to have a debit card and charge for a transaction that the card you are using through them and. They are charging a fee of 2.43 every transaction and thats stealing from the poor people and that is hiway robbery and thats how this greedy card works if theirs any justice i hope they see this as taking advantage of the poor souls who are barely making it and s******* them without their concern . This company is nothing but greedy thiefs. Who I ask my God to come down on them hard and disclose who they really are greedy pigs.Ouro Response

i feel robbed by this pseudo corporation, i lost more than $ 200 dollars i didnt use it for couple of months, after that i call customer service and they told me every month they discount $ 5.95 fee for inactivity. PLEASE NEVER EVER BUY FROM THIS NETSPEND IS A SCAM. I'm deeply dissapointed I hope one day the justice came after them. NETSPEND STOLE MY MONEY. I will never use this corporation again.I put $100 on a prepaid card and they wont activate it with a drivers license so I got a state issued ID.Now they want a social security card that I dont have.All my cards were stolen and I need the money for medication.I bought the card a month ago and dont have transportation to go get more documents nor the money.I wouldnt give them one star on this review but had to!!!Ouro Response

Ive had an account with this company for four years. My direct deposits for my job goes to this account so on today I was trying to transfer money to my main bank account to pay bills when all of a sudden I get a message that says that I needed to contact ***************** I called **************** and was told that I had to be transferred over to another department to handle the problem. I then spoke to a representative. That told me I would have to verify my identity now mind you. *** had this account for over four years never ever have. I had a problem until today and then when they sent a link for me to verify my identity they told me that my drivers license wasnt valid. It doesnt expire until 2025. They told me that I needed to send a utility bill to prove that my address is correct. I moved updated my information on the system to my current address, but my mailing address is the same because I still get mail there at my previous address So now I have bills that are due that I cant pay because they have locked my account after calling in at least three different times and when I told the lady I was going to contact the Better Business Bureau then all of a sudden my account was locked and I cant even access my money from my paycheck Because now theyre acting like they cant verify who I am although my drivers license has my previous address on there that I still get mail at and Im communicating with them through the email address thats on file they wont unlock my account while my bills needs to be paid. Very unsatisfied with this company and as soon as they unlock my account, Im going to change my direct deposit and Im going to close the account and be done with them. Scam alert.Ouro Response

I'm a Brinks Money customer which is part of **********************. I deposit my social security money into my Brinks account.Last week I had $1587 dollars in my account.I went to make a $6 dollars purchase and my card was declined by NetSpend.They claimed I owed NetSpend $499.74 dollars for an account I do not have!Nevertheless, NetSpend put a hold on my account until I paid the $449.74.I paid the money and NetSpend still put a hold on my account.I subsequently contacted NetSpend risk management to contest the charges against **** wanted a copy of the charges so I could contest them.NetSpend told me they couldn't open the account like it never existed.In addition to contact The Better Business Bureau, I'm filing a complaint with The Federal Trade Commission.NetSpend is guilty of deceitful business practices.Ouro Response
