Prior to the start of the project I was told that man power wasn't an issue being that they had 14 plus workers. After repeatedly showing up to the project 90% of the time only one contractor was on location working. Then the other 10% of the time maybe one or two helpers were there. That's unacceptable. Contractor did not meet deadline and all material purchased was not received. Project was not completed due to lack of personnel. Owner ********** has not answered my phone calls or text messages in over two weeks to discuss material not delivered. Project started first Monday in April 2021 and here it is Sept. 2021 and nothing I mean nothing was completed. The contract was priced at $54,678 covering all materials and labor to date I have funded ********** $40,392. This was beyond was stressful and I hope no one every has to experience this.

Our Company owned a condominium in Port Aransas, which was damaged by Hurricane Harvey. We entered into a contract for reconstruction of the condo interior with Mr. Lee *****, owner of Alazan Builders, LP, on 1-20-2020. The scope of work was clearly detailed in the contract, which after approved change orders resulted in a total contract amount of $68,627.86. We paid Alazan $63,440.37 in progress payments during construction up until October 2020, at which time Alazan Builders was incapable of continuing the work and defaulted on the contract. The pace of construction had been excruciatingly slow, and in fairness was adversely impacted by some factors out of Alazan's control such as Covid and the resulting temporary government imposed shutdown. Other contributing factors, that WERE under Alazan control, were poor organization, lack of working capital, poor communication, inferior work, lack of employees, and taking on too much other work. Our direct cost using other contractors to complete the contract work, over and above the amount already paid Alazan, was $35,533.57. Alazan has been repeatedly invoiced for this amount. Mr. ***** stated he can not reimburse us or pay the invoice, and also stated that he and / or Alazan will likely be filing for bankruptcy. I highly recommend NOT using Alazan Builders LP or Mr. Lee ***** for any construction work.
