On Sep 21, 2022 we closed on on our new house. PGP Title provided written and verbal assurances that all the closing documents containing our detailed, sensitive personal and financial information would be sent by encrypted email. This is standard practice to safeguard sensitive data. PGP Title is well aware that email is not secure. Before the closing they repeatedly reminded us that the wire transfer instructions would not be sent by email, but via a secure encrypted portal to prevent fraud.Someone at PGP messed up big time and emailed us the closing documents, all 165 pages of them via regular email. The contents were NOT encrypted at all. We were shocked and upset at their sloppy and negligent handling of the customers information. By exposing their customers information on the Internet they have made themselves fully liable for fraudulent and other abuse use of that information.We immediately brought this to their attention, specifically to ************************* the branch manager and ************************* who handled all the paperwork. We have received no response from either. It appears that they realized that PGP Title screwed up and they lawyered up. Typical behavior expected from a guilty party.We get contacted by ***********************************, the company lawyer. Clearly he is being paid to protect PGP Title, because instead of admitting their mistake and working to remediate it, he did the lawyer thing. ****, deny, deny, blame the other party, obscure, bring up irrelevant issues. When asked if we could record the phone conversation, he had a fit and emphatically refused.We have tried to work with *********************** and come up with a fair and just resolution to the problem PGP Title has created. We repeatedly emphasized that time is of the essence, because the longer our information is out there on the Internet, the greater chances of Identity Theft and fraud. Instead his tactic is to ignore and delay. He talks a lot and pretends to care but nothing has been actually done.
