I have used McCombs **** several times in the past for service. Seemingly each time it gets worse. Previously, I brought a car in for a battery replacement. Although I can do basic maintenance myself, I am at the age where I like to pay for competent, professional service. I'm not sure McCombs is the place for that ! They replaced my battery for almost $600. I later found out that they did not clean the battery terminals, which should be job #1. Just recently, I received a recall notice from **** concerning a wiper motor replacement. I had to try multiple times to even schedule an appointment ( online portal is worthless) and when I did reach someone, the young lady scheduled my service over the phone. My first clue that this may have been a bad idea was that I basically had to walk her thru the process of scheduling my own service ! Anyway, I then received no less than 3 reminders of my upcoming appt. I show up and then they tell me that there are no parts available to fix my issue. I asked why couldn't someone have called me to cancel or reschedule when available ?!? No answer ! My only conclusion is that McCombs **** doesn't care and/or is totally incompetent when it comes to servicing vehicles. They obviously dont care about customer inconvenience or wasting your time ! My advice...shop around !Review from Jessica S

Brought our Escape in because of a flashing check engine light, and an obvious misfire issue. (We were hoping it was covered by the warranty, otherwise we would have brought it elsewhere to begin with.) After a couple days in the shop, we were told definitively that the fuel injectors needed to be replaced, and it would cost just about $1,000. They also said they could have it done by the time we needed it for a trip to ******** this week. Go to get the escape today, and all of a sudden that $1,000 turned into just over $1,200. When asked about the sudden price increase, they lied and said they never said $1,000. Which they did, multiple times to multiple people. But to make matters even worse, replacing the fuel injectors didn't even fix the misfire like they said it would! After spending $1,200 on new fuel injectors, they tell ** that the issue is with the cylinder now, and it's going to cost MORE money to fix. An engine misfire is not that difficult to diagnose. The service staff here are either completely incompetent, or the service department as a whole is a scam for the dealership to get as much money as they can. $1,200 later we have an Escape with the exact same misfire issue that it went into the shop with. It's not able to be driven. And we're going to have to spend more money at a better shop to get the ACTUAL issue fixed because the people at Red McCombs don't know what they're doing, and refuse to admit it. The cost to fix the real issue should be on them. But that will never happen because it would expose their inadequacies.Review from Alayna F

The sales people here are wonderful, but let me say thisthe service department is by far the worst Ive ever experienced. I bought a brand new 2023 expedition at the end of January, noticed a whistling sound coming from my passenger side. I immediately scheduled an appt with the service department knowing it was under warrenty (even paid for the extended). Was told it would be diagnosed and returned within the day or provided a loaner vehicle. When I was informed they hadnt even started the work, they denied offering a loaner. Picked up my car and brought it back for a second appt with a guarantee that it would be prioritized. They ended up keeping my vehicle for FOUR days to determine a warrenty claim needed to be put it. Picked up my car and had to bring it back a third time so they could take pictures to add to the claim and do more diagnostics, took another couple of days. Finally picked up because according to the service department **** warranty wasnt responding. Two weeks later still had no update. At this point I was told they switch warranty systems and had to re-input the claim and would contact the warranty rep directly. Finally got 2 parts ordered and one was back ordered. Scheduled service yet again and was told the fix would take a few hours. Morning of they told me if it wasnt done by close of business, Id be able to pick up the following morning. No follow *** again, called three times and finally at 4 pm was told they only replaced one of the two parts, it didnt resolve the issue and they planned to replace the 2nd part the following afternoonmind you it was supposed to be done by the morning AT THE LATEST. Unfortunately as a working military member, mom, and everything in between this wasnt flexible. I was then told I could forfeit my claim or leave the vehicle and find alternate means of transportation on my own until they were done and they had about 200 cars prioritized ahead of mine? Appointments have no meaning to them-its now April.Review from James K

I bought a 2015 dodge journey from *************** on IH10 in ***********. I was looking to trade out my corolla cause it was basically on it's last leg. So I took it over to the dealership to see if they could help me. After looking at all of the cars there I came across the journey and the salesman ( ***********************) told me that I qualified for it. So after signing all of the paper work, he told me that they will do a 100 point inspection of the vehicle and if it pass then the vehicle will be mines. They had the car for 3 day's and I was told to come and pick it up. After I got there I was told that by he and the other salesman ( ****** ) that they went over everything and everything had pass their inspection. The engine and everything about the car. I have only had this vehicle for only 8 or 9 months. The first thing that went out was the alternator, I called and told them that it went out and I was told that it wasn't covered under my warranty and I will have to pay for it myself . So I ask them if I could turn or trade it in and I was told no due to negative equality and I would have to put some money down. After being without a vehicle for 2 weeks cause they wouldn't help me out, I had to go get it fix myself which it cost me close to a grand at pepboys. They guy's there did a inspection of their own and found out that there are plenty of more issues with the cars. I told them what I was and I was inform that there's no possible way that they did any kind of inspection cause the shocks are done and their are several leaks that's what caused my alternator to go out due to the fact that the fluid was leaking into it. So now I am stuck with a vehicle that I can't get rid of and I am stuck with dealing with a lot of issues and spending a lot of money on a vehicle that I don't want anymore. I told them and all they said was these people don't know anything about dodges.Review from Diane G

This dealership is the worst I have ever seen. My mother purchased a new 2020 **** Explorer and has had issues with it ever since. Within one year of owning the vehicle; she had to have her transmission replaced. They wouldnt allow for her to have a loaner vehicle because she was out of town and thus, stranded in ******. She is now having issues with her brake system. Her vehicle has been in service all week, they do not return her calls, the service techs are very rude (probably because they dont know whats wrong with her car), and the service manager does not return calls. My family have been been buying vehicles from Red McCombs Ford for decades and this will be our last purchase from them.Review from Doug B

I purchased a 2022 F150 from Red McCombs Ford during an advertised "Truck Month" and it offered special financing at 1.9% plus a free spray in Bed Liner with purchase. I got neither! First Warning read your paperwork before signing! They offer you service contracts and make it sound like you are getting a gift for your purchase. Those service contracts added $8500 to my purchase price which made it harder to qualify at 1.9%. Also, new **** Trucks don't even come with an Owners Manual! How cheap is that! It can be ordered online for a fee or visited online but you pay high prices for a truck and don't have a binder with info to browse through at leisure is total BS! McCombs denied a Truck Month promotion even when I showed them a commercial I video copied from the local TV news! I heard bad reviews from Red McCombs West years ago but gave it a try and they still are a disservice to **** Motor Company and I will not service my new truck at that dealership to be ripped off again!Review from Robert E.

Don’t buy from this dealership! I went in to get my 2019 Ranger worked own but decided to trade it in instead. They didn’t have a truck for me so we had to order it. 4 months later it came in and they called me. When I went to pick it up it was the wrong truck. The manager made some promises for me to take this truck. One of the promises were to install front sensors. They called me in to get it done but took me truck to a outside company. They ended up installing something like you would buy from eBay for cheap that has never worked. I called the manager and they decided to order me the truck I wanted. He told me not to worry about the price that he would take care of it, they just wanted me happy. 5 months later it came in and it was $300 a month more. Little to say that the hole time I was waiting I was calling him to reassure me that the monthly payment would stay close and wouldn’t get a return call. I asked them just to fix the promises they gave me and they said it was too late, they didn’t have funds anymore. I’ve called several times to talk with the district manager and for some reason he’s been on vacation for 6 months. Good luck but go somewhere else.Review from Crystal H

We placed a 2022 **** F-150 through this dealership on Feb and received the truck around June, everything was nice and smooth, however after about a month the ** would shut off suddenly while driving, it happens almost every day, it will turn back on but would do it again, we brought it in and they said they will have to check it and we have to leave the truck for couple of days, when we ask if they can provide a loaner they said no, because theres no loaner available we decided to leave since we have no other vehicle to use, after few weeks we took it back still no loaner car they can offer, I left the truck and had to buy another vehicle just to we can move on with our everyday lives. It makes no sense that they wont help us with loaner car when clearly the truck that is ONLY 3 months old having issues. This is my first **** and definitely the last! Thinking about selling it!!!Review from Brandon L
