My husband and I moved into a rental house on December 15th. The showers were not working, and because we were not available for the plumber on Christmas Eve, we had to take bucket baths until they could come and fix it. This happened on January 2nd. Then, after I submitted what was required on my end with the ***************, I got an email saying the management company had not submitted their end of the paperwork. I reached out to the agent at McMath handling the rental, *********************, and told her that the city was saying that paper work was not there. This was on December 21st, 2023. On January 12th, ****, our water was shut off while we were at work. As this was a Friday on a holiday weekend, that has put us without access to running water for what will be 4 days, in the desert, before we can even get ahold of the city to sort it out. We had to spend money buying gallons of water to bring home and use in our toilets and showers. We had to spend money taking our clothes to a laundromat so we could have clean clothes during that time. When I emailed ***** to tell her the issue, her response was, "I have already sent them the management agreement and lease. Ill have to follow up next week with them." She did not apologize, show any concern, or indicate that this would be high on her priority list to get resolved. She is treating us like 2nd class citizens.
