    Since buying my home I had never been able to connect my ***** app to my home thermostat, so I emailed ***** to resolve the issue and they informed me the one of their local dealers would be able to resolve my issue. I thought this was odd because my issue seemed like it could be resolved over the phone, but I followed their instructions and contacted Sure Temp LLC, which is the closest dealer to my home. I called Sure Temp on the morning of 09/28/2023 and spoke to a phone rep. I informed her that I had contacted ***** about connecting my ***** mobile app to my home thermostat and that ***** had informed me they could help. The woman I spoke to informed me that she would have a tech sent to my home between 1 pm and 6 pm that day and took my personal information, but never told me there was a cost to just having someone come to my home. I never would have agreed if I had been made aware that there were any costs for the visit. I said yes thinking that it was a free consultation because no monetary amount was ever discussed. The tech showed up and was very friendly, but all he ended up doing was calling *****, who removed the previous homeowner from the ***** account tied to my home. The tech also didn't mention any cost when he showed up. When he was leaving (after ***** had resolved the issue) he asked, "did they tell you it was $75 for the consultation?" to which I replied "no." He informed me that I owed the money so I paid begrudgingly to avoid any incidents with a stranger in my home, but I immediately called Sure Temp and asked to speak to a manager to have the $75 refunded for the non-disclosure of any fees. The person I spoke to said no managers were present, but he would have a manager call me back the next day (09/29/2023). I have waited all day today with no phone calls from Sure Temp. I just called again to find out why I didn't get a call and their message said they close at 5 pm. This is horrible customer service and I need my $75 refunded ASAP!

    SureTemp over charged me nearly $500 They attempted to charge me for a TDR replacement, a low voltage fuse, and an add a wire kit.The technician, *****, was in my home for all of 15 minutes and he did the following:Took off my old thermostat and replaced it with a ****** Nest Learning thermostat. I stood next to him the entire time. He repeatedly exclaimed how easy it was to replace and exhibited signs of excitement that it happened so quickly. He reassured me at minimum 4x that the only fee i would be receiving would be a thermostat replacement fee which would be around $80. However, the following day, I received an invoice for nearly $460. Within the invoice, they added on all of the bogus c*** I mentioned in my first sentence and it took 2 weeks for them to finally respond and it get it sorted out. What was their solution? They removed the add a wire kit charge but left all the other items i mentioned on the invoice.This company is dishonest and they are only out to get your money. ***** the technician relayed zero honesty into the actions he performed and nearly cost me $500.Avoid this company at all costs.
