I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received at your ***************** location in ******* on [insert date].During my visit, I encountered a staff member named ***** who was assisting another customer while I and several other people were waiting in line. He was engaged in casual conversation with the customer, which prolonged the check-in process. Despite the line growing and the phone ringing, ***** was able to answer calls while leaving us waiting.When I asked him a simple question, "Excuse me **** are you the only one working today?" his response was dismissive and unprofessional. He replied with, "Yeah, why, am I taking too long?" and then made a reference to "Where are you from, *******?" followed by another remark, "You're from over yonder, I dont know where that is."As an African American woman born and raised in the ***** this was not only inappropriate but also offensive. When I mentioned that I would be providing negative feedback in the survey, ***** responded by stating his full name and said, "I don't give a [explicit]."As a business owner myself, I understand the importance of delivering quality customer service and ensuring that all customers feel respected and valued. Unfortunately, my experience at your location was the opposite, and I am surprised that U-Haul employs staff with such poor customer service skills.I hope this matter will be addressed appropriately, and I would appreciate confirmation that steps will be taken to improve customer service at this location.
