We purchased a wireless sound system for our home on 1-27-14 including payment in full of $2039.33 and have not had delivery.
We have been working with **** ***** since Nov-13, and signed his proposal with payment in full on 1-27-14 for equipment, programming, installation and support for a wireless home sound system. The check for $2039.33 was cashed on 1-31-14. We received an email from **** on January 31 stating "We very much look forward to taking care of you. I will begin to order product next week and we should be able to plan on the installation mid-month."
We have made numerous attempts to contact Mr. ***** via email, voice mail on his cellphone, phone messages at his new place of employment (**************s), and most recently, via letter to his home and a final demand phone message to no avail.
Email reminders I have printed out (and there have probably been more) were sent on 3-11-14, 4-23-14, 6-10-14. Letter sent 6-24-14. Phone messages (at least 6) have been interspersed.
Equipment to be provided per his proposal is: Sonos Internet Bridge (connect to internet router) $35, Sonos Play:1 (Dining Room, white) $150, Sonos Play:5 (living Room, white) $300, Sonus Play:5 (Outdoor, Prtable use, Black) $300, Sonos Connect:Amp (Family Room Speakers) $350, Sonos Connedt (Rec Room amplifier) $250, PearlessAV Wireless Media Kit (Family Room TV) $425, totalling $1810, plus tax $149.33 and Freight $75, free installation, for a grand total of $2034.33.
We "purchased" the design and installation by a winning bid on an auction prize at a ********************. We checked their BBB rating (A+) and talked to a couple of happy customers that we happened to know. **** was very pleasant to work with. Since then, he has taken a position at ******** ****** ****** which we understand may have taken much of the time he earlier spent on Oak Point Technologies, and have tried to be as accompdating as possible in our emails and other correspondence. But after a letter dated June 24, 2014 asking him to contact us within 7 days, and then us placing a followup call to him, we still have not heard from ****, which is quite disconcerting.
We have specifically asked for the delivery of our equipment (and even volunteered to have our son install it, if time for installation was a factor), or our money back, and have had no response, giving us the impression that he may no longer dealing in good faith with us.
We ask that you intervene on our behalf, and hope that your contact with Oak Point Technologies will allow for a happy conclusion to this transaction. Thank you.
All we want is delivery of the equipment we paid for, preferably with installation. If the equipment was not ordered and is not available, we will accept a refund of our payment in full.
