    On 04/25/2022, I took my miniature schnauzer to be evaluated for a sudden onset of an illness. The cost was $177 for this evaluation. After receiving the test results, I was told by an employee named Amanda, that the results were not accurate due to an injection that he had previously received for allergies and the he needed to be retested. My response was that I don't feel that I should have to pay twice for something that wasn't my fault. An appointment was made to retest in 30 days. On 04/27/2022, I had a conversation with Jamie regarding this situation and I felt that I shouldn't have to pay twice for something that wasn't my fault. I did everything right. I was told that I only had to pay half of the testing fee. I disagreed because none of this was my fault. On Wednesday, 05/25/2022, I took my dog to be retested at 0730 and Eddie H****** was as the front desk. I informed him that I was there to have Bruno retested and I we discussed the cost. I informed him that I didn't feel that I had to pay for a retest. His response was that "I still had to pay full price." The records show that my dog was there and the records also show that his results were affected by the injection that he was given. I don't feel that this is right and I have never had such a horrible experience with a vet. His tests showed he is sick and now, after waiting 30 days to try and get him retested, I have to start all over again and pay more money due to the lack of integrity that I experienced with this business.

    Customer service is not good. Amanda, the manager needs to learn some people skills. We had an urgent situation with dogs that had ingested a toxic substance. Amanda told me I was being rude. I will not deny that I was frustrated because I was worried about my dogs and the bill was going to be over $1400. I glanced at the credit card application and then tossed it back onto the table because I did not think getting a credit card was a good option. Considering interest rates are so high. She came outside( which is where you check in or wait- and only one person is allowed in the room, even if the other person is a child ). I thought she was going to help me with the dogs but instead she told me I had been rude and throwing things(not true. I tossed the credit card application back onto the table. I did not throw it at anybody. It was a toss, not a throw.). I am a professional person. I did not take any of my frustrations out on any staff member. I felt like she was the soup **** sending me away for no good reason. We ended up at Live Oak, which has a much better environment. So I do thank Amanda for that.

    Our number one priority is the pet's well-being. Unfortunately, our animals are unable to tell us what's wrong with them. We have protocols and procedures we follow. We take into consideration all factors and provide estimates and seek consent from the pet parent prior to moving forward. We understand this process can be draining emotionally and financially for the pet parent, which is why our team makes recommendations for testing and treatment. While we sympathize with the facts of veterinary care can cause unexpected expenses for the caregiver, we are not interested in financial gain form any pet's problems, we only want them better. We also value our staff members as well as our patients and pet parents. We don't tolerate any staff member being treated with anything other than respect as we are trying to help the patient and pet parent. We are unable to allow 3 adults into our exam rooms with the small size. It doesn't give the staff member or the veterinarian room to provide proper exams.
