Oct 16 we booked Med Villa with Oceans Luxury Vacations for a total of $2076.75($1200 rent,$300 cleaning fee,$250 property protection,$96 service fee, and$230.75 in taxes) for date Nov17-21.Nov 10-hurricane ****** hits ********************.Nov 11 & 13 I sent an email to Oceans Luxury inquiring whether our rental sustained any damage and if we should seek alternative lodging.Nov 14-text response from Oceans Luxury stating our property "will be fine for our arrival", I also asked about surrounding area and was advised that "anything not on the ocean has already reopened and it's business as usual." Nov 17-we arrive at Med Villa at night and discover the poor condition of the property. The living room and dining room walls were unfinished dry wall. Half of the lights and electrical plugs were not working. The yard in back of the unit had sloughed away into the ocean causing a steep drop off. We were not advised of the unfinished walls in the living room and dining room, nor that the back yard was now a steep cliff that had been eroded by the ocean. In addition to the storm damage to the home, there was black mold around all the ceiling vents,the living room furniture was broken and torn, the living room lights were broken, dead cockroaches lying on the floors of most rooms, and stained/dirty sheets. The beach access maps they sent us were incorrect, with all, except one, of the beach access points closed within a mile of us.Nov 18-we advised Oceans Luxury of the poor condition of the property,our desire to find new lodging, and receive a refund. They refunded $1293.75 of our $2076.75 payment, which we did not think was acceptable, and requested a full refund. The manager, *******, would not provide me with an additional refund. She also would not visit the property with us to visualize how bad the property was,even though we asked her several times to walk through the property with us.We are requesting a full refund of the money we paid.
