    Booked a room through Booking.com. After renting a car and a 4 hour drive we arrived, checked in. When we went to our room, we noticed the room didnt look clean. We decided to give it a try but as we were relaxing on the bed, a bug (appeared to be an engorged bed bug) on the bed. My husband smashed it and blood squirted out. I jumped up and checked the bed, only to find another bed bug. Our room had 2 beds, so in checking the other bed we noticed stained sheets from smashed bugs. At that point we decided to get the heck out. As we were gathering our things, we also saw a ***** on the floor. I went to the office to let them know we werent staying and to turn in the key. The office attendant didnt seemed bothered by my comments. When I asked about a refund I was told I have to go through Booking.com. So at this point we drive another 4 hours to get back home and wash all the belongs we took in hot water. I reached out to Booking.com and was told I need to reach out to the property. When I reached out to the property, the same man that I checked out with said after we left he checked the room and there were no bugs. I told him I have pictures but he kept dismissing what I was saying and raising his voice that there we no bugs and that we left behind dog hair. I reminded him that the lodge is pet friendly. While basically yelling at me and not letting me speak he basically called me a liar and made a comment saying people like you I asked him what he meant by saying that and that I felt discriminated against, but he tried to backtrack and wouldnt answer me. He refused to give me a refund for the amount that we spent on the room $219.99. So I just said that obviously we are just going around in circles and we werent going to come to a resolution and hung up. Also, the pool and jacuzzi they advertised was not in use. The pool was half full of green water. Thank you for your time.

    Ok, what Words for dirt should I use, Stained, Trashed, Grimy, messed up, I am being nice right now. This was a big nightmare for me the SPIDERS, BUGS, AND ROACHES, and not just in one room we got two rooms and they where all Nasty fucking filthy. I should not have to say another word... the person in charge, Jay H******, the general manager. He is a joke.. and the females wont give their names because they are double charging people. Western Holiday Lodge Sequoia and Kings Canyon ***** ****** Dr Three Rivers, Ca ***** WESTERNHOLIDAYLODGE.NET DONT DO IT, AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! I thought this was the Best Western and it is not Or are just completely uninformed about how a motel should be run - it SHOULD NOT earn 5-starts by virtue of the fact that YOU DIDN'T SEE or GET BITTEN by BEDBUGS!! Have some dignity people! UPDATE: They have now charged me twice for the final amount due upon check-out. Double charges were verified by credit card company. When I called to inquire about why they double charged me, the lady immediately started arguing with me and telling me I was wrong and that I was a liar. Finally when she was caught dead to rights she claimed it wasn't their fault and that my credit card company did it! What??? I told her to please take care of it so I didn't have to dispute the second charge and she got even more rude and said "go ahead" and hung up on me! Let me add, I have now verified that at least three other couples that traveled with us have the same EXACT problem right now. Double charged. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! It seem to me that all the information is all the same Something is not right...with this place...I don't know the person that did the review above but it is what happened to us..
