On Sat. 3/25/23 I checked into the Holiday Inn Express & Suites for (1) night. From the time I checked in there was a family in the room above mine (302) with a kid that would not stop running around. I could get not get any rest before hitting the road back to L.A. the next morning. I called to complain to the front desk and the lady that answer offered to give them a courtesy call. After a few hours, I saw that the call didn't help at all so I left the hotel before my check out time. I was not offered another room during my stay only a call would be made to the individuals staying in the room above me, which didn't resolve the issue. I contacted the front desk at Holiday Inn & Suites later in the day to complain in hopes of getting a refund but was unsuccessful. I then contacted the Corporate Office to explain my situation and they said they could only offer me points for my troubles. I didn't see the need for points since I have no desire to stay at their hotel in the future. The Corporate office stated that I would have to seek a monetary refund for the hotel which I stayed at in Bakersfield, Ca. I contacted the hotel in Bakersfield (Jazmine, Supervisor) to explain what the gentleman from Corporate stated and ******* stated what your corporate office indicated was not true. So, I then called Corp. back to explain to him that they unable to refund me because I occupied the room. He offered to call the hotel on my behalf to see if he could get a monetary refund for me. The General Mgr (***) said that ******* told him that the front desk offered me a different room which was not true. They only thing the front desk offered was to give a courtesy call to the guess on the 3rd floor. I was never offered another room. If that were the case, why would I file a complaint. That makes no sense. After my 2nd attempt was unsuccessful, the Corp office issued me 9,000 points for my troubles. I feel cheated bc I paid $146.81 for a (1) night stay and it was a disaster.
