On may 30th i started a conversation with ***** **** an employee at 417 rv I was looking for a lightweight trailer that day found one an the process to be preapprpved began on june24th i went to 417 rv in vars ontario to pick up the wolf pup unit was given a walk about with explanation of things however did not notice damages till the unit was delivered home and started to wash it down to beginging packing essentials into it after First the battery was missing never hooked up and i did ask about it the day of pick up there is a black box it was suppose to be strapped into all staps and hardware was inside untouched They stated their checklist showed it was there but we have video of the day it came home doing their walk about and its clear no straps are secured after much conviencing they wanted me to drive it up to hook it up however had an employee ******** drop it off she put it on the cement driveway and a mechanic i hired came to hook it up I was told upon the sale that it is perfect for off grid camping as it has solar panels however they dont seem to work for anything even the simply lights I was Very Clear i needed it for off grid The electrician came wired the house to have 30 amp service so then the camprr could be cleaned and packed with the air conditioning running as i have diabilitatating health concerns with my lungs and breathing The next day went into start packing essentials and could clearly see outside from the back door bunk area the whole door was jammed off to the far roght leaving a large gap along the top and side of the doir that bugs a hornet was climbing through as i seen it and water will easily get through in rain and morning dew the seal is 1/2" away it is not as visible from outside Then the underbed storage external compartment was noted to be what looks like screwed in too tight around the outside frame as it is indented into the trailer and extra silicone on the screws then painted them black to cover it. It possibly breaking both the exterior frame as well as the door itself has a crack in half the door was fixed with 1 tiny piece of black electrical tape inside the cracks are both visible from outside and look make shift repaired once opened up the actual metal frame of the compartment also has damage to it The interior wood frame is water damaged with the wood frame the body the walls of the camper itself has split up on both sides of the compartment all exposed under the bed directly The actual frame wall has noted water damage The rubber gasket also is ripped cracked that keeps water out The window above this damaged area has noted abrasions to its casing in a few areas along the top of the window and above that area is a small dent in the white trailer siding It appears like something ran into it and they tried to fix & cover it None of this was made aware to me as a single woman with disabilitating health issues i feel that i was an easy target and that this damaged unit was giving to me for those reasons The trailer camper has never left the yard it was delivered to its protected with security cameras 24/7 and someone is almost always there The battery they wanted to charhe me to replace i said i have video footage of it leaving their yard and it was not strapped in its proper external case after several departments and several phone calls from trying the salesman who was happy to sell it but then no answers to service department to parts department i proved it was not there initially Soon as all the damage was noted they were contacted via text as well as phone calls and emails i asked for the owner to contact me took 2 weeks of asking finally he messaged *** *********** Stated he would call monday today We texted a few messages he wanted to see photos he does not beileve its in need to return to the store for a refund they wanted to send a mobile rv guy named ***** to come saying the door just needed adjustsments i said it has extensive damage to the interior walls with broken and bent access door ***** both damage in front left side and back right side of the camper i agreed to show ***** the damages he scheduled then was a no show due to apparent back injury then wanted to rescheduled that friday evening i stated the owner needs to be contacted It is August 4th and since may 30th tried to get a camper home then to have excuses with the battery then the damages found i requested a return of the deposit made in full and trailer to be returned I am also paying insurance on this useless item I will not use it damaged to this extent water will always been getting into it directly through these Two Broken access doors The back bunk bed mattresses two mattresses are also exposed to the elements as well After having to jump through loops to try to get anyone to take action on their end I have resorted to filing this complaint I had a file with the bbb regarding another rv company 2 years ago in the same area city due to severe mildew problems & caught lying on video tape more than one occassion I had to fight for 2 years and am still paying a loan of $45k because of that mistake and not knowing how to fight a large corporate dealership They intimadated me beyound words literally scaring me and my family therefore i was reluctant to get a camper with this company, i asked if they were assosicated with in any way the other dearlership who had sold the molded & rotted rv they stated no they are individually owned. So i gave them my faith that i was purchasing a brand new 2025 undamaged trailer The payments were to be less than $500 a month according to the signage when i bought it but payments ended up double that at $807 a month totally unexpected However i figured i had to continue till all the damages were found and reported I may have to send the purchase document seperate from this email I will note it as Part 1 & Part 2 A Full Refund of all money given to 417 rv and lendcare for payments made to this damaged unit and each month of insurance paid on this unit be refunded in full no exceptions immediately as they have wasted this precious time I had travelled to 417 rv at least 7 occassions to finalize make payments and sign documents then to pick it up Each time hiring a driver and its a 3 hour round trip there Compensation for selling an unreliable unit is necessary They kept the unit for 2 weeks for an inspection prior to telling me to pick it up I asked them what is included in this inspection ?? how did Your trained eyes not pick these damages !??? The day we were told to pick it up we were rushed they said they were closing early due to the heat that they were sending staff home early but that did not seem to happen as by the time we left it was near closing time and everyone still seemed to be working in the yard & garages etc . Mr. *** *********** is aware of the sitiation and of course does not feel that by the photos which are not easy to see damages full videos have been made but too long to send format wise I said are you selling damaged units as brand new ? Is it a seconds factory outlet ? I was told it was first owner brand new Either way summer has passed the camper has not been used and is awaiting pick up from 417 rv with a Total return of deposit in Full For selling FAULTY DAMAGED EQUIPMENT Please Better Business Bureau help me this is the Second time and only my second time trying to aquire a camper that is safe for my 4 children and i and honest to God the last time was the most intimidating humiliating health serious situation to be in and i still walked away with thousands in debt Totally unfair and i am being treated the same this time like none of it matters to this 417 rv dearlership

    Business Response

    Date: 21/08/2025

Ms. **** purchased a new trailer from us which she had an orientation on June 24th.   She did contact us by leaving a voicemail,   at night July 2,   indicating she was missing her battery and could not able to get her sway bars on.      We offered for her to come as soon as she was able,  to provide another orientation and demonstration on use of centreline sway/torsion and we would install a battery for her.    She requested we go to her and drop off the battery,  she had financial concerns with making the trip to us and cited health issues.   We delivered the battery to her in ******** at her residence as she requested as her preference.

She contacted later saying there was a gap at the top of her door,   which then quickly became a list of many things including feeling it  had been in a roll over accident we didn't disclose.   It was difficult from speaking only with the client to ascertain what the legitimate concerns may actually be,  and she was adamant she could not bring it in for inspection or repair,  so I offered to hire an outside company to go to her home,   adjust her door and do an inspection and gather any pictures and note any possible issues that were existing that we could resolve for her.

Ms. **** has had many assurances from 417RV that if there are any warrantable repairs or manufacturer defects that they will be taken care of by us,   however she has only been interested in having the trailer returned.   Because we can not just refund a trailer purchase for no valid reason we went and picked up the unit to do an inspection and see what concerns it is that Ms. **** has.

We did find that there are two legitimate claims,   the storage door has a gap at the top and requires (per the manufacturer) an adjustment.   Ms. **** does not want the door adjusted and says that is not a satisfactory solution so we have ordered hinges to replace the current ones.
The panelling behind the wall in a storage area had been cut too short from the factory.   Although this is cosmetic and not considered a defect, we have repaired that.

If there are further things we have missed that Ms. **** could point out or identify we would be happy to take care of them.

417RV and our team have gone above and beyond to try and appease Mr. **** at no additional charge to her, to no avail. We will continue to try and resolve this issue to the best to our ability, assuming that Ms. **** will be a willing participant to have her trailer repaired.
