My laptop screen stopped working, but i could here the sound from it. I called J-TECHNOLOGY CORP (Located in ***** ***** ************ and told about the issue. He told me its screen issue and would have to order the screen. He told me it'll
take $610 to fix depending on the quality of the screen and will take a week to come. I told him to order the screen and paid a
$400 deposit towards the screen and dropped off the laptop to his store. Few days pass by and he messaged me it'll take 2
weeks to come. Im being patient and agreed to wait. 2 weeks later agian he borrowed another week from me giving reasons
to why screen is not yet delivered to him.
After waiting 3 weeks, he gets the screen from his vendor and tells me that my laptop screen is not the issue, the problem is
in the my laptops motherboard. He had my laptop for 3 weeks and initially he told me that screen was the problem and now
after waiting he says that My laptops motherboard is the problem and more to fix it. He could've told me this within first few
days after dropping off my laptop. I finally gave up and confronted him at his store. I took my unfixed laptop from him and
asked for my deposit back. He refused to give me and told that i need to pay remaining balace to get the screen. I agreed to
pay the balance but on a condition that he provides me the receipt with part number and should test the screen to see if its
working. He refused to comply on any of the conditions.
So next day i took my laptop to other professional technicians. Upon looking they mentioned its a screen issue and NOT a
motherboard issue. I got furious thinking that J-TECHNOLOGY CORP did a fraud with me. I went again to J-TECHNOLOGY
CORP to pay the balance of the screen so i can pass it over to other technician to fix it but he refused to give me the screen
that I paid for. He tells me if i need the screen he wont give me any warranty. Then how will i know whether the screen is
    working or not.
Now J-TECHNOLOGY CORP is not returning my deposit ($400), Not giving any receipt or warranty on the part he ordered
and also has the screen in his custody that I've already paid for. I feel this is a broad daylight fraud happened with me and
feel very disappointed with the way he was disrespectfully talking making hand gestures towards me when i confronted him.
I have already made a complaint to the landlord he has rented his space from. The landlord too agreed that what he is doing
is not right and will talk to him about the matter. I'm hoping that i get justice from Ottawa Police SERVICE after going through

    Business Response

This guy is not honest according to his complaint:
—-This guy is running an electronic repair shop too, he came to me to fix.some.stuffs that he damaged or he are not able to fix.
—-In this April he called me to ask order a MacBook A1398 screen.
*Which is not cheap screen, so I told him no display doesn’t mean its screen issue.
*He said “you just order it for me, it’s my responsibilities for the judgement”, then I asked him pay deposit $400 to avoid business dispute later(because no display for this model is quite common issue from motherboard base on my experiences).
         * After weeks later the guy dropped the computer to me for replacement, unfortunately the no-display issue was from motherboard.
         * The guy started created lot of unreasonable arguments, but it’s simple for me that if it’s screen issue I fix it for him if it’s not I won’t fix it.
         * Days later he came to me again, asked either refund his deposit or give him the screen with 2 years warranty, I rejected, the purpose I charge deposit is to avoid this happen.
         * And I may give the him the screen with what I paid to my vendor, but no warranty, because my vendor only give me 1 month warranty, this case was lasted more than 1 month from I paid.
—- I totally don’t accept this kind of behaviors, as a service person, we must provide reliable quality and honest service to our customers.
—- and I’d like recommend *** do some field investment, many phone and computer repair stores are  only able to do very basic fixing even they say they can do anything, many worse cases that some stores made lot of troubles for their customer due to poor quality repairing, their customers did not know yet
—- Make this business industry transparent to our customers to improve this service quality is necessary.

I am rejecting this response because: J technology Corp himself mentioned that its the screen problem. I've attached the screenshots of the messages sent by this business mentioning that its the screen problem. After waiting for it to be fixed, with no reponse I call up the business to inquire.

He said its the motherboard problem and not screen and kept giving reason for 3 week! Which repair shop would keep the Macbook for 3 weeks and after inquiring them about the Macbook he says its some other problem! Why wouldn't he tell me in the beginning? I got frustrated and went there to pick up the macbook.

I asked them to give the screen after I pay the remaining balance so i can keep it and get it fixed somewhere else. Firstly, He refused to give the screen at first place( I already paid for it)  and secondly he wouldn't give a warranty on the screen if he was to give me the screen! How am I suppose to know whether the screen he's giving is a working screen? I asked to give me the money back because other 2 options he was refusing to imply. Unfortunately, he didn't give me the money either. This is clearly a daytime robbery.

I took to another technician( He works from home) showed him the Macbook. Within a 2 days he told me that its the screen problem and fixed it for me by working on the same screen & without replacing the screen with a new one. I paid $220 tax in for fixing the Macbook to another technician and also gave me 90 days warranty. I have attached the screenshots of the Second technician where he clearly mentions that screen was the problem.

I'd request you to please take a look at the attachments thoroughly, take action againt such Malpractice and if you require further information I'll be glad to provide them.

    Sincerely,

I don’t agree on his statement, and this is wasting our time back and forth.
—-His conversation with someone: no idea about it. Easy way to verify it, bring the repaired computer back to test my new screen, if my new screen doesn’t work on the good computer, it’s my responsibilities, if working well means this guy is lying.
—-I recommend this guy sue me in the court with our an agreement at that moment.
—-We wrote down this paper agreement together regarding this case per his request and both of us signed. I am not in Ottawa now, the store temporally closed, so please ask the guy take a picture to submit.

I am rejecting this response because: I've already attatched the pictures in my response clearly mentioning that it was the screen issue. He himself agreed to it that it was a screen issue. This Business clearly knows that I was suppose to fix the computer and send it back to who it belonged(Outside Canada) . What this business is asking to bring back the same computer is completely unreasonable and actual waste of our time and resources. I dont need the screen anymore as the aptop has been fixed. He didn't give me the screen when i actually needed it to give it to the other technician and legally any electronic or parts come with a 30 or 90 days warranty. No one in right minds would ask a 2 year warranty which he's claiming that i asked for one! I only asked for 30 days warranty at the time of repair. He didn't give me any warranty and neither he provided me any receipt of the part he ordered.

I wouldn't be wasting my time and resources for $400 if he had done some mistake while repairs but keeping the money in the name of deposit and keeping the computer in his property and not fixing the for 3weeks+ is clearly fraud. I've attached a file with a visible number of J technology claiming that it was the screen issue(On April27) and on May 15 he texts me that its not screen its motherboard and has audacity to ask for more money? That's the time I got suspicious towards this business.

I can ask the other technician to verify in this situation. He himself fixed the same computer and told me it was indeed a screen issue. Kindly let me know if i am allowed to, how am i suppose to bring other technician as a proof?

Also a note to J technology: Recovering my own money is not a waste of time.  Stealing money in the name of deposit and claiming that you've done nothing wrong is the actual waste of time and prove that you run your business without any morals.

As for the court case, the process has already started . You shall receive a notice from there too.

    Sincerely,
