On 7/29/25, I visited Dalstrong's website and was presented with a promotional popup stating: “Get $50 Off when you sign up for email and texts.” There were no terms disclosed at the time — no mention of a required $400 minimum spend or that the discount would only apply to a future purchase.

I submitted my contact info in good faith, expecting the $50 discount to be available for immediate use. Only after signing up did I receive a text message stating: “Spend $400+ on your first order, get $50 off your next.”

This is a classic bait-and-switch tactic, where the key conditions are not revealed until after the consumer complies. Dalstrong has confirmed this in writing, stating the terms were only visible in the post-signup SMS, not in the original ad.

I contacted their support team, provided a screenshot, and asked for them to honor the original offer. They declined and closed the case. I believe this violates fair advertising practices, especially the BBB Code of Advertising and FTC guidelines requiring all material terms be “clearly and conspicuously” disclosed before the consumer takes action.

I’m seeking one of the following:
    – The $50 discount to be honored on my current order as originally advertised
    – OR a goodwill credit of equal value to resolve the deceptive marketing

Screenshots and documentation available upon request.
