    I had a very disappointing experience with Gary’s Towing. On August 10th, my vehicle was improperly towed - it was pulled from the rear with the front wheels left on the ground and transported for 50 minutes on the highway. This caused transmission damage.
    Gary’s agreed with the repair shop to cover the cost of repairs, but a week later, when the repair was done, they stated they would not pay the invoice for 30 days due to “internal corporate policy.” This was not communicated to me ahead of time. Because of this, the repair shop would not release my vehicle until the invoice was paid.
    During that time, I was stranded in Thunder Bay for a week waiting for the transmission repair and incurred accommodation and rental vehicle expenses. I waited another week for the invoice to be paid, but they didn't pay it. I corresponded with Ashley, the manager, who confirmed that Gary’s would not reimburse me for any extra costs, and there was no way for them to expedite the payment for the repair. My last two emails to her (sent August 22 and August 24) have gone unanswered.
    It has now been 30 days since the repair was completed, and Gary’s still has not paid the invoice and my vehicle is still in Thunder Bay. I am now pursuing this matter in small claims court.
