    On April 19th, 2023 a foreman representing Laymore Paving came in to my office to see if I wanted the side laneway graded and paved with recycled asphalt, He claimed to be working around the corner and had extra material and he would give me a good price. We agreed on $6000 to do the area in question and he gave me a 2 year guarantee on the work. About 1/2 way through the job he came back in and said that they had more material than originally thought and if we moved some cars he could do another area where we park. When I came out after they said they were done he had done all the way around the corner (more than agreed upon). He then measured it out and told me it would be $30 000! I refused to pay this, so he bullied and in***idated me into paying. After they left I inspected the area and they did not grade it at all, they did not complete an area close to the road and they did not compact it properly. The material is very poor quality, contains barely any asphalt, and is mostly sand and gravel that is not mixed properly. I called the ******** *** ******** at the end of the day to express my disappointment in the quality of the job. He promised to return the following Saturday and put more asphalt down and finish the areas in question. I repeated the measurements of the area and he grossly over estimated them. Now just over 2 weeks later there are already new pot holes forming in the laneway where the material is settled. There are also ruts from driving. He has since rescheduled the repeat visit twice, cancelled because of poor weather, and is avoiding my calls. He claims that his office will call and re-schedule, but I have since discovered that the address on Bank St is fake. There is also an office listed in Mississauga, that phone number and address are also fake. He gave me an invoice with a written 2 year guarantee that he is refusing to honour.
