    Campsite alleges our children caused damage to a septic system on 31 July 25. We were not aware of any incident until campsite took a payment of $2512.50 CAD without informing us first on 6th Aug 25 after our return to ******. ******** has not provided any evidence of alleged damages. They state they have video footage but despite multiple requests have not provided us with this. Alleged damages occurred on a pitch that we were not occupying. There are discrepancies with their suggested timeline for example they state damage was discovered the day after we left the campsite (which was 2nd Aug), however their invoice includes equipment dated 1st Aug. They state that the pitch was out of use for 7 days on their invoice but with their suggested timeline (damage discovered 2nd Aug and charged us on 6th Aug) it will have been 5 days. This is a huge sum of money involved for our family, if we could see their footage, and it is our children, it would be much easier to accept and move forward. We have always said to the campsite if our children have caused damage we would come to an agreement with them, however we cannot accept liability for this when we have not witnessed this damage, our children were supervised and they have taken an unauthorised payment.
