I didn't know who else to turn to, I hope you can help me out.I've just calmed myself enough to type this, after an unbelievably unprofessional interaction with the owner of the Bigfoot storage facility in ************, *******... I no longer feel safe being there on my own.He is threatening to kick me out because he's claiming that I'm being an 'unreasonable pain in the ass' by requesting to move my things from my smaller unit, after finding a dead and rotting mouse inside my carboy. He told me that he thinks that I placed that rotting mouse in there myself to cause trouble!.. Why would I do that?, now all my fabric and foam items stink and will need to be thrown away!, as will the carboy. He said that I was a **** ** *** *** because apparently I complained about rodents three years ago when I moved into a unit at ******* storage facility, which he used to own. I've gone through all of our communications and not found any such complaint, so he claims that it's in his notes.I have no recollection of such a complaint but if there were rodents there back then, then yes, I probably would have pointed it out, as no one wants their belongings peed on, pooped on or chewed on by rodents, no one.I moved out of ******* storage facility on the 30th of July, 2023 because after paying for hydro there for almost three years, they disconnected it without notice, so I lost everything in my deep freeze and they're not taking any responsibility for it.I paid for two metal units (8'X20' and 5'X10') close to each other at Bigfoot, then the day before moving in I received notification of the smaller unit being changed to one too far away from the larger one to be moving things there on my own as I down sized. I complained so was given a small, wooden one nearer. I didn't complain, even though it's a wood structure and just pointed out the rodent droppings in the locker kitty corner to mine and inside mine, also pointing out two PVC pipes which opened into my locker from the outside. Was told that I could move my things yet again at the end of the month if there was still a rodent issue, which I reluctantly agreed to, as it's more time that I don't have and I should have just been rented the metal one as agreed to in the first place. It's clear now that I can't keep my things in the smaller unit, now that I've found a rotting, stinking mouse in there, it shouldn't be something that I'm chastised for, called names and told that I'm going to be kicked out!... instead I ought to be accommodated in a professional manner, after all I've paid rent to keep my things safe and sound. There are no other storage lockers available for rent, try as I may to find one, nor can I afford to move again, I'm totally tapped out financially, energetically and time wise. Can you help me?, I need some back up, as I'm sure none of this would be happening if I wasn't on my own.Looking forward to hearing back from you, thanks so much for your time.

When ***** first started contacting me over storage lockers she wanted an 8x20 and 8x12 she was very indecisive in the month long conversation back and fourth we had and lockers kept getting rented out. Finally all lockers got rented as summer is our busiest time of year except for locker ** (8x10)and locker and locker 41 (8x20) She wanted the lockers very close to each other so we we ended up going with locker * as it happened to open up and be even closer locker to ** as it was my only 8x20 available. We had never agreed on 2 metal lockers. I do have emails to back this up. ****** ** had opened up too and she had asked me she could rent another locker and I offered her ** and she took it right away no questions asked. She sent me an etransfer and I accepted the etransfer.  In a few days when she came to the storage facility she told me she had decided she didnt want ** anymore as it was too far away. Usually when you rent a locker you rent the locker and there are no refunds. But she was already renting 2 lockers from us and I felt it wasnt right of me to tell her our policy and so just I refunded her, her money and let it go. she moved in july 29th and I told her Id give her 3 days free 29th, 30th and 31st of july and that I would start billing her come august 1st. Because she rented 2 lockers from us thats why I gave her the few extra days free. So She moved in to her 2 lockers and kept asking us for power in locker *** We usually dont do power in lockers as you never really know what a customer is going to use the power for. She told as she just wanted it for a light so she can come in to her locker at night time and see. We offered her a battery operated lantern and she didnt seem too keen on that option. Then she started going off about mice in her locker. We told her she could no longer move in to that locker if there were mice in it.  She told us she wasnt intersted in moving twice. We had never heard this complaint before from any of our customers. We offered to put traps down in and outside of her locker for her. Again she didnt seem too interested in that idea either.  A couple days later she had a water jug that had water in it that was in her locker with a dead mouse in it after we had asked to please make sure there is no food or water in your locker because that will attract mice.  After all that Her and my husband had a phone call which she says she recorded and sent to you guys. On that call with her, my husband told her we didnt have staff to get another unit ready right away and she insisted he drop everything and make her a new locker. He told ***** that wasn't going to happen and that if she wanted a new locker then no problem we could get that ready by months end (August). This is what started the back and forth arguments. ***** called me August 27th and we spoke she told me she didnt even need another locker anymore and she was good with just the 8x20. I told her of course she can stay in locker 41 and I gave her an extra week to move her things out of ** ** ** ** free. This customer keeps changing her mind and its causing issues. Then she told me she wanted second week free and thats not really how storage facilities work. Customer cant demand and instill free weeks when they want. I currently have no other lockers to move her anywhere else but again we did offer to build her a new locker for the end of august and she said she didnt need it anymore. We use to own a storage facility down the road called ******* lockers and storage. But we sold it almost 2 years ago now. Its now called Mini mall storage and thats where ***** was renting from before she moved in with us july 29th 2023. Mini mall storage had to terminate ************* rental with them as she was also causing problems by having a deep freeze full of food in her storage locker(plugged in). Mini mall had told her many times that is was absolutely not allowed and she would not listen and that is why Mini mall disconnected her power.  In ******* Storage facilities talk. We also have a code of conduct when we hear a trouble maker has moved in to our facility we call each other and warn each other hence how we found out about the deep freeze. I do wonder if the reason she wanted the power at our facility in locker ** was so she could also move and plug her deep freeze in. I also believe that phone call that ***** had with my husband was set up to aggravate him so she could send it to you guys why else would she voice record it.  She told me she tried to cancel this BBB complaint but you guys wouldnt let her, she also told me you guys (BBB) went on to our website and saw we had many lockers available which cant be factual because we are 100% full and you cant even see available lockers on our website bigfootstorage.ca. Did you actually see available lockers on our website? And did you tell ***** she couldnt drop this complaint after she tried to? Maybe you were on a wrong website? I do remember years ago (when we did own ******* lockers and storage but now we no longer do) ***** was a customer of ours there as well and she did also complain about mice at that time too??. Its weird she was also telling me how she grew up with mice and had a mouse farm, again ??. I feel like we have been more than fair and more than accommodating with *****. Honestly Im trying to see here where the consumer relations part is of this argument? For her to say she feels unsafe in our facility is far fetched and the proof is in that as of sept 1st she is still in locker * and has another locker here and is now refusing to move out of locker *** Im not really sure what replacement she is looking for?
